Among the best Hilton rooms I've stayed in. Clean. Convenient location. Would definitely be back. Just wished breakfast lasted an hour longer until 10:00 AM.

Spent night in July 2008.
Positives
- Close to I-95
- Many places to eat nearby
- Excellent staff
- Biggish and clean rooms
- Good value for a suite
- Free breakfast was one of the best I had ever seen in selection and quality
Negatives
- Upper floors are wood frame construction, rather than concrete. Therefore when someone walks around in the room above, their floor, your ceiling, creeks. What bozo decided to build a Hilton hotel in this manner deserves to be jailed in the darn place for a year with a dance-dance revolution contest above them. We must have had a family of 5, all insomniacs, all badgers, above us.

Our softball team was playing a tournament in Gainesville, and having stayed in a HS for the tournament in Altamonte Springs last year, I contacted the Gainesville hotel for a rate. Not only did we get a great group rate, but our 5 day stay (with 12 families) was exceptional. From the management to housekeeping to the woman who took care of the breakfast area, everyone was friendly, helpful and courteous. We couldn't have asked for anything more. One manager - Ron - went so far as to make up word searches and unscrambles for the girls using their names and softball terms. Awesome!
The rooms were clean, spacious and modern. The pool area was beautiful, and the pool water was crystal clear and cool - no easy feat in the July heat. Free breakfast is such a luxury when you have children, and the welcome home drinks and supper (Mon - Thurs) was wonderful.
Thank you to the staff of Homewood Suites Gainesville for making our stay so carefree and memorable.

My wife and I both have allergies, so we always have to check out hotel rooms before committing. The room we stayed in here was clean and had no bad odors. Also, the windows open and there is not a lot of noise outside. Our room overlooked the parking lot that is shared with the Hilton Garden Hotel. (We tried there first, but there windows don't open.) The suite included a kitchen with full size refrigerator. This is an excellent property, highly recommended.

We needed a clean, well located hotel in Gainesville, in order to attend a two day conference. I read the reviews on Trip Advisor and settled on Homewood Suites, even though it was a few dollars more than others in the area. It was a good decision.
The hotel is very well located and easy to find, just off I-75, and is nearby to lots of shopping and restaurants. We had a gift certificate to Outback and/or Bonefish Grill, and both were within minutes of the hotel.
The front desk staff was extremely friendly, polite and courteous, both at check in and check out. The unit was immaculate, fully equipped and ready for our arrival. Since it was a Friday, they did not offer the complimentary beverages in the evening, but we did enjoy a fine breakfast including fresh made waffles, country fried pork chops, scrambled eggs, and lots more.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone needing a short or long term stay in the Gainesville area. There was complimentary high speed internet access n every suite, plus a complimentary business center with access for those without their own computers. Top notch!
