We checked in on a saturday. old food was left in fridge and trash in kitchen was not thrown. also there were dirty wet towels left in bathroom. found utensils under bed. called front desk they came up and cleaned it right away. we were given 1 nights credit. good location 15mins from padre island 10 mins from aquarium and uss lexington. might stay there again

We stayed at the Homewood suites in Corpus for a family reunion. We booked a two bedroom suite and a one bedroom suite with two queen beds & fold out couch. We got there early and the rooms were not ready. They also said they did not have a 1 bedroom with 2 qn bed availabe, just one with 1 king bed, that was not adequate because there was 3 men who were sharing this suite. They said they would give us a fold out cot for the night and the next day they could give us the room we reserved. So we made due with that room for the night. The other room, the two bedroom suite that they gave us was a handicapped accessible unit, which I did not ask for. The closet rods were so low we could not hang up our clothes, and you had to bend over to reach the microwave below the sink. The only other problem was the dishwasher, there was so much food in the bottom of it the dishes would never get clean. We brought dish detergent from Walmart next door and cleaned the dishes in the sink ourselves. The kitchen consists of a two burner stove, dishwasher, full size frige with freezer, microwave, sink and dishes. The maintance staff was very fast and friendy, we had a bulb out on the fan above the stove and a knob missing to control the ceiling fan in our bedroom and they came very quickly after we telephoned them. Other than the dirty dishwasher the rooms were clean and well taken care of. Don't expect much of the breakfast, it consists of eggs, meat (ham, or sausage) and either hash browns or gravy and biscuts. There is cereal, milk, coffee, tea, danish, breads & juice. One day they had waffles you made in a waffle iron, but there is only one iron and there was a long line. The saving grace is that there is a IHOP right next door. The hotel is in a great location, right off the interstate and next to the Starplex movie theater with 16 theaters. In walking distance to Walmart, Texas longhorn steakhouse, Golden corral and more. Dispite the problems we made the best of It. We also didn't have a problem with the wireless internet, but mostly we used it to check our email. I would stay here again, because the beds were comfortable, the bedroom, bathroom and living areas were clean, it's in a great location, the AC worked great and the rate is reasonable for a suite with kitchen. One other thing, If you use google or mapquest it does not show the correct location of the hotel. Use the hotel directions.

There was mold in the shower (that I cleaned myself with bleach that I purchased next door at the WalMart), there were cob webs in 3 corners of the rooms, the manager is extremely non friendly, I had to clean up the laundry room before I could use it (it was a pig pen), 2 out of the 3 ice machines in the building were broken and the managers response to this was "use the ice machine on the 3rd floor" (I was staying on the first). When I told him that I cleaned the mold out of the shower, he turned away and said "good." The evening "dinner" is a poor selection - 1 entree, 1 vegetable, and fruit for dessert. The wait staff could not find the wine bottle opener to open the bottles of wine one evening. The work out room does not have a sanitizing solution to clean the work out equipment. The only reason that they started putting towels in there was because I complained. The sad part of this is that I am a Gold VIP member with Hilton and own time shares with Hilton. This property is a disgrace to the Hilton name and needs to be cleaned up, and SOON!!!!

I stayed here 19 days in a single queen suite on a business trip. Very nice layout with plenty of close parking in well lit spaces. Very friendly accomodating staff during the entire stay. Our luggage did not arrive until the second day and the staff delivered our bags to our rooms. The night staff provided us with complementary toiletries and shaving gear since our bags were late. Each room has a kitcthenette with full size refrigerator, two burner stove, large microwave, coffee maker, full set of dishes and pots and pans as well as a dishwasher. I have read numerous other reviews about this hotel and disagree with the negative general comments. I loved the huge shower stall although the bathroom steamed up because the ventalator fan was not working. This was a small problem because the shower and toilet were in a separate room from the sink and mirrors. Room was clean and comfortable with excellent lighting and great spacing of the furniture. My room had a couch with fold out queen bed and nice 3 drawer chest of drawers. Nice comlimentary breakfast every day. The morning food service personnel went out of their way to accomodate our 4 person group prior to actual breakfast hours. Evening snack Mon - Thurs with free beer, wine coffee and tea. Very nice location with movie theater, Wal-Mart, IHOP and numerous restaurants with-in walking distance. Very corteous and helpful staff with warm ,comfortable clean atmosphere. Homewood Suites is now my personal preference for my frequent business trips.

My Family And I Stayed Here Because of The Reviews Given .Our Trip Was Business/Leisure, The Pool Was Dirty, The Hot Breakfast Was Cold And We Could Not Eat It! Thank Goodness There Was An IHOP Next Door! The A/C Unit Was So Noisey We Could Not Sleep...I Could Go On But I Won't..Not A Good Place To Stay For The Money You Spend! We Will Not Stay Their Again!
