We really liked our stay for 3 nights at this hotel. The staff was great, the rooms adequate and breakfast (came with the room) was good. The hotel is in a quite part of the city but one can take a stroll or the metro.
We really loved the city of lisbon

Stayed at this hotel (after choosing it from previous reviews) for 3 nights with the in-laws and we all really enjoyed ourselves. It is about an hour stroll from the centre of Lisbon but we preferred this out of town location. The metro station is a 2 minute walk away and an all day pass for the metro, bus and tram is 4 euros. What we didnt find out until our last day is that if you save your metro ticket and put it in the machine the next day when ordering your ticket, you save 50 cents per ticket.
The hotel rooms were big, the beds huge and we had lovely views of the city as we were on the 8th floor. The breakfast was tasty and there was plenty of it, though the room was quite small and it did get very busy in there. The reception staff were generally very helpful.
Taxis are a cheap way to get around the city and there is a taxi rank outside the hotel.
We found a lovely restaurant near the castle - it was called Resto and it is behind a gate as you walk down the hill from the castle. There is a bar and a tapas bar, as well as a restaurant with lovely views over the river. The food was to die for - all home cooked and freshly made. The menu outside is all in Portuguese but the staff spoke excellent English and explained what all the dishes were. Resto is a definate must if you want a top quality meal.
There is plenty to see in Lisbon and if we went back we would definitely stay at the Real Parque.

We booked 3 days at the Real Parque at the start of a 10 day visit to Portugal and this hotel certainly got us off to a good start. The staff were very welcoming and spoke excellent English. We had a very spacious room on the 5th floor. The buffet breakfast was very good but we didn't sample the restaurant. The hotel is located in a quiet, pleasant area of Lisbon close to a metro link.
We would definitely stay at the Real Parque again.

Just returned from 3 nights at the Real Parque. I can only reiterate what the other reviewers have said. Comfortable rooms and public areas and helpful and pleasant staff combined with the hotels good value rates make it an excellent choice in Lisbon.
The only downside is that it is located in a fairly undistinguished part of Lisbon outside the centre. However a hotel of this standard would be a lot more expensive closer to the centre. The metro which is cheap clean and efficient is 5 minutes walk away and some of the cheapest taxis i've ever used are always available outside the hotel.
Eating options may be somewhat limited in the surrounding area but the hotels own restaurant provides excellent portugese cuisine and the Thai restaurant further down Av. Luis Bivar is also excellent
Great hotel and nice location

My friend and I stayed here for three nights in April. We were pleasantly surprised on many different levels: spacious room, huge breakfast (included in our trip), friendly front desk; swanky bar area, ideal location to metro (only a 5 minute walk away), large beds...The only drawback was the lack of restaurants; however, the Basque restaurant beside the hotel stays open late and the waitstaff is very friendly. Additionally, you can walk to the metro to head to the different neighborhoods or walk over to the "mall" to the supermercado or food courts. All in all, a very pleasant experience!
