If you book the cheapest hotel on the website you went thru, you can't expect much! I picked this hotel because all i needed was a place to sleep and a shower. The bed linen and towels were clean, the staff was VERY helpful to the english speaking tourists. The breakfast was rolls and coffee, because that's what italians eat for breakfast!!! If you want bacon and eggs, stay in the states! Realize when you come to another country, it's exactly that, you're not in YOUR country anymore. If you are on a budget, this place is fine. If you want luxury, expect to shell out a little more. Keep you money in a travel belt , and for ladies carry a zippered purse. We saw an elderly couple get pick pocketed right before us. Fairly safe though, polizia are everywhere. Take your shower flip flops!

worst experience I ever had

I stayed here for 6 awful nights. The room was not clean. The bathroom layout was strange and awkward. The bed linen was perfect, as was the bathroom linen. In order to open the wardrobe I had to move the bed. Very few drawers. No chair. The breakfast was a joke. Two rolls, coffee. Breakfast times - 7.30am to 10. But when I entered at 9.00am everything had been cleared away. They did give me something on a tray. The TV reception broke down on Friday night. They said they couldn't get it fixed until Monday. This was a hotel!! There was absolutely no where to sit outside the room - no lobby - no restaurant. You couldn't sit in the room either as there was no chair.

despite the other reviews my time spent at the prati hotel was not that bad. i found that the hotel staff was very helpful and nice, their english wasn't too bad with the daytime workers. There is a really nice resturant right across the street, and it was a close walk to the shopping. If you are going to naples for cheap site seeing the hotel is not that bad of a place to stay.

I could kill my travel agent for putting us in this hotel! It is dirty, disgusting and the hotel staff is arrogant and dismissive. We had no air conditioning during 90 degree weather and had to sleep with the windows open - Sleep?? HA!! too bad it's in the hub of town and the notorious traffic and nightlife blared all throughout the night into the morning. My bed/more like a cot, slanted at a 60 degree angle.
You don't dare venture outside at night either because the streets are ridden with pickpockets and hookers! Our stay would actually make
a great sitcom episode. . . Very odd that a hotel like this can remain open.
