Most of the rooms in this hotel overlook the Cathedral and it is only a few minutes walk to the old town - and just down the road from the train station in the other direction. The hotel has its own large carpark - accessed via gates controlled from front desk. It is not too easy to see and we drove by it twice before finding it - then we arrived at the same time as a coach load of tourists! but after an inasupicious start things then got better. The room was excellent - with on demand air conditioning - just what we wanted after a long drive. The beds wer comfortable, bathroom good but the wardrobe was a canvas contraption with a curtain across the front - but it did its job. Front desk was very helpful with local information and the breakfast offered a wide range to suit most tastes. We would like ot return to Chartres on a Friday - the only day the labyrinth is open for walking and would certinly stop here again

First class road stop in Chartres if you are touring in France. We stayed there with a teen and two young children. The owners are really friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. It's easy to find, near the train station and a stone's throw from the cathedral. Rooms are first rate for a 3 star hotel, clean, comfortable, flat screen TVs. We would definitely go back!

We decided that we wanted to see the night illuminations that they have every summer in Chartres, so a day trip from Paris was not possible. This hotel is a short walk from the train station and only three blocks from the cathedral. If you're driving, there's a secured parking lot - though that costs extra. Don't book a room in the lowest category - those all look out on the street. All other rooms look out onto a small garden and the parking lot and face the cathedral. The highest category rooms have a view of the cathedral. Service was warm and friendly, and the breakfast is very very good - including fresh eggs that you can boil to your liking, meats, cheeses, pastries, cereals, and fruits. And plenty of good, strong French coffee. Rooms are simple, but clean and neat, and much larger than you'll find in Paris. Rated excellent for the service and value at this price.
