We booked for a two night stay and were given the Hunting Lodge as there were no Chateau rooms available. Not bad at all, fresh and clean, very peaceful room, double aspect with large terrace.
I can only imagine there are some internal management problems, as it was at best, lack lustre, inexperienced and disinterested. Breakfast was very hit and miss and ours was mixed up with another couples who had previously vacated our room in favour of a Chateau room.
The Chateau and grounds are magnificent but be prepared to fend for yourself.

Chateau AND Hunting lodge. If you are looking for a romantic setting, skip this one! We arrived to our final room on our honeymoon, only to find out that our room in the chateau was actually in the "hunting lodge" which resembled a typical Super Eight motel in the states. We tried to have our room moved to the chateau, but none were available. We ended up leaving , and the management refused to refund any of our four day reservation. Biarritz is wonderful just skip the Clair de Lune.

Excellent value for money. Tranquil chateau in a beautiful setting. I stayed in the main house where the rooms are large and airy. The choice of breakfast in your room, on the terrace or in the elegant dining room what a choice. Friendly and helpful receptionist (Cecile) who spoke excellent English, gave brilliant suggestions for site seeing. I would definitely go back.
Charming Chateau

This place has limitations. It is not a luxury hotel. It has no bar. No pool. Breakfast can take a while. If you are prepared to accept these limitations and prefer a friendly atmosphere in an architectural gem to hoardes of waiters dancing attendance on you, read on... It is a beautiful but small chateau in the countryside 10 minutes from the centre of Biarritz. The reception staff (when they are there) are charming and helpful, and will direct you to wonderful restaurants (there is none in the hotel). Before you go, they will get you a drink on the lovely terrace overlooking the fountain and beautiful grounds.
When you return, you will let yourself in and will have to drink from the minibar in your room, which will be well appointed, but probably badly lit. If you are like me, you will love it and want to go back again - and again.
