Need a little caution with this one. When we turned up before 9pm we were told that the restaurant was fully booked and given rather poor directions to find a restaurant in town. We weren't best pleased to see quite a few tables set out for dinner but empty when we left the hotel and still empty when we returned an hour later. I guess the receptionist didn't want to say that they couldn't be bothered to serve an extra couple of covers....
Also watch out for which of the three buildings you are put in. The orangery where we were was being renovated and wasn't very smart.
That being said, nice old building and rather nice looking pool.

We booked a deluxe room category "chateau" for 2 nights - the room was tiny, nice, but redefined my understanding of small. Bed is good for people under 5 ft tall. Note that the main building has no elevator, we had to drag our suitcases up ourselves. Service is not customer orientated, they just do not care. Do not pay in advance!!! That said the setting is very nice.

We have just spent a couple of nights at this hotel.
The setting is splendid, it could be a five star hotel if they wished to do so. This would include more and better towels, better TVs and TV programmes . We were very surprised to find that on half board there was no choice of menu whatsoever. The meal was just presented in front of you, we could not eat the main course and sent it back. No explanation was given neither were we asked what we would like or if we would prefer a different menu. We were not informed of the terms of half board at any time, neither at reception or in the restaurant. After some time we were presented with plates of duck and vegetables, not our choice. It was a pity as I am sure the food is excellent, and we would have enjoyed a superb meal if we had been given a choice and an explanation. There is an excellent restaurant in the Town at the Mini Golf!
