I stayed at this hotel and thought it charming - the garden was beautiful (hot pink sun loungers) and so peaceful given the central location. Breakfast delicious and the manager and her assistants were all extremely helpful. I took a dog - disabled partner - teenage stepson and step daughter - we all loved the hotel.

We were booked into the Sun Riviera for two nights in May but left after one night -not because of the hotel itself but more due to general disappointment with Cannes. The hotel is located about two blocks off the beach behind the Hotel Carlton on the Rue d'Antibes, a very busy shopping avenue. If you are primarily into shopping this would be a great location.
Our room was clean, bed comfortable, and had a lovely view of the small courtyard and small pool plus the rear of the Hotel Carlton. There was a table on the balcony that would permit breakfast outside (room service available). The bar was deserted while we were there--no one appeared to use it and no staff were obvious when we looked.
Breakfast was not included in our room rate but a continental breakfast was available for 16 euros per person. We ate on a very nice patio and found the breakfast to be very nice with an assortment
of breads, jams, fruits, and yogurts. An omelet or scrambled eggs were 5 euros additional. Friends traveling with us had only two coffees and one omelet and were charged 16 euros for this--expensive coffee indeed. Ordering the entire breakfast was definitely the better bargain.
Our biggest objection to this hotel was the strong smoke smell in the rooms. It was by far the worst of any hotel we have encountered.
We had requested non-smoking rooms but apparently none were available.
All in all, this was a hotel without serious problems and without any memorable pluses. Not a place to which we would wish to return, but not one we disliked strongly either. Guess that defines
"average".

Un hôtel basique, rien d’extraordinaire
Guest name: Anonymous

The room was older, in an okay location, but really offered nothing special. The bathroom was kind of nice; otherwise, this room was nothing special - but adequate. The price and location are the best features. If you are just looking for a place to crash that is a short walk from the beach, then this hotel is fine. If you actually care about the interior of the room or plan to stay in it to do more than sleep, I would consider something else.
