The staff at the Hotel were very friendly and helpful. The location was awful, stuck near buildings that looked like they were about to fall down! Extremely noisy area, also building work going on next door, which didn't help. The food was unappetising and tasteless. Would probably suit the German clientle as it was mostly hot dog sausages, sliced meats and rubbery cheese. The bedrooms were very clean but basic. I would not visit this Hotel again or Lloret which is the worst Spanish resort I have ever been to.

Hotel bertran in the resort of lloret de mar in costa brava.This is where i stayed for my holiday in july And i can not begin to tell you how awful it was .The whole area was so horrible ,so hoisy you could not sleep at all in the night music blasting people shouting and screaming til all hours .The area was also very dirty and you could find no where descent to eat.The food in the hotel was beyond words and if you went out looking for a nice resturant you had no chance as there were none.So all in all i would not recommend this to anyone especially if you were looking for a nice relaxing holiday in a beautiful resort Here NO CHANCE. Horrible dirty area

My wife, daughter and myself booked 2-rooms on half board basis between 19th and 24th june 05. The hotel was wedged between two narrow streets but in a reasonable location within 300 metres of the popular main road area and only 50 metres from the bus station / taxi rank it was 3 / 4 minute stroll to the beach past a good selection of shops etc. The rooms were good sized, very clean, air cond. maid service daily. Our rooms were running parallel to the street and the view from the balcony was into the next building. The end rooms overlooked the pool and small town square and would have been more suitable. The buffet meals were plentifull and always hot, but we would have preferred a more varied evening meal menu mostly chiken or pig selections It may have been a problem if we had booked for a longer period if they continued with this rotation. The staff were very helpfull and if we were staying in the area again I would'nt hesitate to use the hotel again. but I would request a room with a view.
