I was not impressed when we first arrived and especially not impressed as I was dragging my luggage across the wharf-dock to my room outside. But... open the door with your scan key wand and Wow... design, sparkle, and tech. Go inside and enjoy the comfort of a spa bath with a wall that opens to watch tv in the living area or look out over the lake of swans and lapping waters. Dinner was ok, breakfast was acceptable, but with all that cool ambiance why not make it unforgettable on all aspects? It would have been nicer with valet service, a better parking area, upgrade the worn docks, and the outside of the rooms. Give us more wow and the world will make a path to the only on the water hotel in Europe even if it is in Neuchatel.

Truely a Boutique Hotel

This hotel is what most 'boutique hotels' strive to be. The design is amazing and the pictures on the website don't do it justice. The fixtures are top quality so nothing is broken or suffering from form over function. Huge rooms, bathtub big enough for two, privacy on the deck....delicious food in the restaurant. I don't know how many people have Neuchatel as a tourist destination, but I can honestly say it's worth going just to visit this hotel and view the mountians across the lake.
