This was my 2nd visit to the hotel. Like most Paris hotels, you must avoid the least expensive "standard" room. The standard room at the conti is particularly small and not good for 2 people with luggage. The deluxe room is much bigger and only 20 euros more expensive. I stayed in the deluxe room with my 7 year old son. Much better . The breakfast is still good and they don't charge for young kids.

I stayed here with a friend for three nights at Christmas. Actually my friend had booked their sister hotel, and because there were so few bookings at that hotel it closed and they transferred the reservation to this hotel. The area is very nice and quiet, and the rate was good (not unusual over Christmas, though). The room was too cozy for two friends to share for five nights - and we moved hotels. There was no place to get food within the hotel, and at the holidays that made breakfast difficult in particular. And, because of the size of the room, I would have liked the opportunity to go into a lounge or lobby and sit if I couldn't sleep or was up earlier than my friend. Unfortunately, the lobby was not really inviting and welcoming...it was too small to sit and relax in, so there was really nowhere to go outside the room. The room was nicely-decorated and the bathroom fine, with a good tub and modern decor and features. The hotel is pretty (if a bit dark in colour) but I doubt I'd return, unless I got a fabulous deal, AND I was travelling with someone & didn't mind the coziness.

I have not yet managed to stay at this hotel, on two occasions i have phoned and spoken to the receptionist to ask availability and prices of the rooms and was told 160Euros and that there was indeed availability, i promptly booked a room but omitted to take the name of the person i was speaking to. On arriving at the hotel, and recognising the receptionist by her voice, she knew nothing of my booking/telephone conversation of only a couple of hours previously, even when i quoted the room rates she had given me during our conversation back to her she still denied all knowledge. Bizarre that this should happen once, but twice!? Perhaps they just didn't like the look of me when i arrived!? Just don't presume that because you have booked they will let you stay upon arrival.

Okay first of all, this is a very nice and charming little hotel with clean and cozy rooms. BUT when we tried to go out for a few drinks at Champs Elysees bars and nigtclubs the receptionist told us that we CAN'T GET IN after 01:30 because he goes to sleep??!! While he was telling us this he was playing a cards with his computer and talking to a friend. I have NEVER encountered a curfew in a hotel. This was completely ridiculous and ruined our plans to meet up friends and have a nice night out in Paris.

This is a small but charming hotel. The staff were very friendly and the location was great. We loved walking just half a block to the river where the views were breathtaking. The rooms were quiet and even though they were small we were able to get a child's crib, which was free of charge, in the corner! The Metro station is a 5 minute walk as are loads of restaurants and shops. I would recommend this quaint hotel for the bargain factor although everything is expensive and small in Paris!
