My family and I had A horrible experience at this hotel. We booked it 3 months prior to our stay at a rate of 200.00 a night. When we checked in, the room was not what was promised on our receipt/print out as it had no iron/ironing board, microwave in room. We had a 13 month old baby and 2 kids ages 7 and 8 years old with us and a microwave was requested when booking the hotel. Once we settled in for the night my wife discovered a USED BLOODY TAMPAX in the BED!!!!! At this time of year in Anchorage there were no hotels available to move to so we were forced to move our kids to a room upstairs. about 2 hours later once everyone was BACK asleep the roof started pouring rain and looked like it was gonna cave in. I once again went to the front desk and complained as nicely as I could but there was no room left except the one with the TAMPAX that had apparently been cleaned. The night manager assured me we would be refunded in the morning. We had the creepy crawlies all night and the next day at checkout time the day guy said he had no idea about anything and could not even give us a discount. I have since talked to Archie Sherrats who is supposedly a boss and he has not returned my call with any info.

We stayed here for 2 separate nights and had terrible experience both the nights. The first night, the bed was filthy, had hair all over it. The rooms are old & dingy. The walkways are filthy!!!!! On the second night, the room was just as bad & to add to it the heater wouldn't shut off!!! The manager is rude and nasty!! Please STAY AWAY from this place!

The hotel is near the airport and a shuttle is available. The room was quite large but was in need of a good cleaning. There was trash under the beds and the carpet needed cleaning. Our room was a non-smoking room but the level right below us was smoking. People would go out on their balcony to smoke and the smoke lifted right into our room. The staff was very friendly and very helpful.

We were bumped from a late night flight out of Anchorage and the next flight was not until the next night. The Best Value Inn-Executive Suites Hotel manager was most gracious in allowing us the use of the hotel lounge for most of the next day even after we had checked out. The courtesy van to the airport was also most helpful. Best of all was her hospitality in sharing with me and my three children some really good home made pie as we waited. Our room was very good sized and the laundry facility was a godsend. Next time I am in Anchorage for business or pleasure I will be staying at the Best Value Inn-Executive Suites Hotel!

The decor in the room was dated, but it was clean, spacious and a a fabulous price for what you get. The continental breakfast was good too. The only weird thing was that the couch in our room had been removed and in its place was a mattress on the floor. It was okay since we only stayed one night, but if you were staying longer, you would probably want a couch to sit on to watch tv. A tip for those who will be staying in the room for a few nights - there were no pots, pan, silverware, etc. in the kitchen so if you're planning to cook your own food, plan on picking up some cookware.
