The Aragon was a top place to stay. Superb location, very friendly staff and a killer shower! We loved it. The recommendations they gave us for dinner were perfect. Both the staff and the hotel deserve credit for a great place to stay. For the price I think it would be hard to do better for location and quality.

The Hotel 'dAragon is superbly situated just on the edge of the old town, in a quiet street off the Place de la Comedie, the main square where all the action is. It's also a very short walk from the station (we came by train from London) and the new part of Montpellier (Antigone) with a modern shopping centre and imposing new buildings. When we first saw our room (Petrarch - they are all named after great writers) on the ground floor we were a little concerned that it might be noisy as the window opened directly onto the street outside, but with the shutters closed it was remarkably quiet. The room was a good size, unusual for French hotels, and the bathroom spacious - even more unusual - and well equipped, with an astonishing jacuzzi with coloured lights, water jets, air jets - all imaginable bells and whistles. Decent breakfast. Some of the bedrooms opened directly into the breakfast room, so if you like lying in late, it might be a little disturbing. Reception was competent rather than warm, but perfectly acceptable. Lots of good restaurants in the old town close by. Would return and recommend.

I had great service here!! The front desk was amazing. Gave us suggestions for dinner and nightclubs. He was very nice and helpful. Took us to our room, showed us around and made sure that we were happy. not that it would have mattered as the hotel was sold out. the hotel was nice and pretty good value for the quality of the rooms. the only thing is there was no safe if I recall right. The location of this hotel is perfect. We walked from the train station and it close to all the excitement. Montpellier is any easy city to visit. I would suggest this hotel to anyone staying there.
