I ve been there for the fashion week and it was very easy to go to the show because you have lots of taxi, bus and the subway.
The hotel is clean and the bedrooms are fonctionnal.
The breakfast is like we can wish in Paris:good coffee and good pastries.
I can say that its a good value hotel .

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel March 23- 26, 2007. Room was small, but that did not bother me too much because I wanted to be close to my Girlfriend anyway. Shower head was broken, but made due.
The majority of the staff I did not have a problem with and were very helpful except for one smug asian fellow that was rude, crass, and condescending. Aside from him I did not mind my stay here. We opted out of the 15euro per person "breakfast" that typically includes a drink, croissantand pastries. I LOVED it much better running out in the morning to the Patisserie (bakery)next door ( right turn out the door ) and grab some fresh pastries for breakfast in bed that usually only cost around 2 to 4 euro for everything we wanted. The first day I ran up to the local Monoprix ( grocery store ) that is about 3 blocks away ( again, right out the door ) and grabbed a jar of jelly and a pint of orange juice ( which I stored in our mini-bar fridge ) that we enjoyed with our breakfast in bed every day.
I think the thing i loved most is that this hotel IS out of the way and not on the "beatten path" for me that was a great experience to try and depart from the "tourist" sections and really feel what it was like to be in the true Paris. I completely loved exploring the narrowest of streets to see what is there. Believe me when I say that you NEVER know what is there until you look. I found some great eatteries and shops in these less traveled areas that upon entering you thought "My, why am I comming this way?" Then only to come upon these really cool areas.
Public transpertation is the way to go in this city. There was NO PLACE we could not get to by bus or train, we never took a cab because we didnt have to. The "EUROPE" bus and train stop is on Rue De Rome ( left out of the hotel and right onto Rue De Rome ) If you buy a transit pass that is good for the duration of your stay you will have fun getting lost and finding your way in this city.
All in all, Paris is expensive to eat, shop and stay. So be prepared to pay for a great vacation. We also found that we were able to get a much better currency exchange rate in Paris versus here in the US. There are plenty of currency exchange locations all over the city of Paris.
I do not speak French and typically did not have an iussue communicating with Parisians in eatteries or for directions / recommendations around the city.
Would I go back, probably. Would I stay at this hotel, probably not. There are so many areas to explore that i would probably like to stay in another district,if i were to go back.

To actually waste the time writing this review is almost a complement to this hotel. It has alledgedly been refurbished but still has many tiles missing, no COLD water and the rooms are tiny ! A twin involves a 6" gap between the beds and a double involves pushing those two together ! it is out on a limb with no restaurants or bars nearby of any note and has nothing else worth mentioning !

My fiance & I stayed at this hotel for 2 weekend nights at the beginning of February. We stayed in a no-smoking room but we opted out of the breakfast as we felt at 15e per person per night it was a bit on the expensive side.
The stay started well with pleasant staff, a clean room, and a clean toilet. However, things went drastically downhill when some personal belongings went missing from our locked room on our second day. When my fiance & I reported this to the receptionist we were told that nothing could be done as there was no management in the hotel on a weekend, and we were left with no choice but to report this to the police.
When we checked out of the hotel on day 3, our bill charged us for several items we had not had (mini-bar & breakfast) and the night rate didn't match up with what was agreed either. We had to spend a further 20 minutes explaining that we were not prepared to pay any more than the original agreed price. Eventually this was sorted out.
We have since heard nothing by way of an apology from the hotel, despite us leaving a message for the hotel manager to contact us.
I would not recommend staying here due to the service we received when we reported the problem, and there-after has been quite terrible.
