Not knowing anything about Rome and the hotels, I picked the 2nd from the best category of hotel with the tour company. I really can not give it a fair rating, because I can not compare it with what is considered the standard in Rome. Compared to a hotel in a large USA city it was average. It may be above the standard in Rome. i just dont know. It was not as nice as my next hotel in Sorrento Italy. But the service was good..The front desk people were not as accommodating as the staff at my hotel in Sorrento. But the rooms were nice and cleaned every day. The location was great for anyone traveling on bus or train. The station is two blocks away. Also all Rome sites were 10 minutes away or less and under $10 Euro's of taxi fairs.

My wife and I stayed one night in a double ("Matrimoniale") room.
The rate was 90 Euro. I pretty much concur with other positive reviews.
The room was clean and quiet and included tv, A/C, and private bath. They also had a free internet point in the lobby (not working at the time) and wireless connectivity in our room.
We were on the garden side, but there is not much traffic at night, so I imagine even the street side would provide a good night's sleep. The staff was friendly and the rate included a nice breakfast (served downstairs 0700-1000). Parking is made a little easier by a covered garage and large open parking lot both within one block.
Hotel is an easy walk to the Tourist Office which is also very helpful and offers free bicycles for tourists.

We spent a week here in May-June. I agree with the favourable comments others have made about the staff, the food and the location. We paid a bit extra for a Superior room, which was a good choice. Some of the rooms we peered into seemed quite small, but ours was a good size, as well as being clean and well-appointed.
The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the centre and the sights. Don't miss the covered market.
Driving in Ravenna is a real mystery. There's a network of one-way streets clearly designed to deter through-traffic (and a good thing too). So if you're driving, get the hotel to send you instructions on how to get there. Don't just think you can follow your nose across town.
