Very modern, great design, wonderful rooms ( bathroom gets very high marks) and eco-friendly. Best location if visiting the Guggenheim. The staff were friendly enough, however when asking for directions to drive to Barcelona, were told to go the opposite way. Other than that, would defintely recommend this hotel as I was very impressed for the price we paid ( which included tix to the Guggenheim and complimentary use of the hotel bikes.

A good, clean and modern hotel in quiet area in the centre of Bilbao. The rooms were clean and big. The only complaint is that when I made the reservation I booked a room at the front of the hotel overlooking the river, which we didn't get. I have to raise this with them, which was annoying even though I do speak Spanish. I did get what I asked for, which was good. But, apart from that I would stay there again. It is good and value for money, and the staff after that start were attentive.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel at the end of may. This is a good time to visit as the weather was pleasant and there were not too many tourists about (particularly at the Guggenheim!) First impressions were very encouraging and there has been much thought put into designing a funky hotel. The reception staff were friendly and efficient but the bar staff were disappointing in their professionalism and the bar (and restaurant) closed at 11pm - the one bar man took over 40minutes to give us our bill. We stayed in a standard room on the 5th floor and below us was building work which got going at 8am but wasn't too intrusive. That said, be warned that there is a lot of building work going on outside the Guggenheim so the hotels immediately surrounding it are probably suffering. I would have to agree with a previous reviewer that the rooms were pretty cosy and smelt slightly of stale cigarettes. Apart from that the rooms were very clean and well appointed although the front door seemed to transmit alot of the noise from the corridor into the room which is a little annoying....We did not experience the breakfast and I would suggest that its far more fun exploring the city and eating breakfast out instead (I highly recommend the Guggenheim cafe as this was very fresh, cheap and has great views) The views from the river are stunning and I recommend walking into the old town and experiencing pinchos (like tapas but on bits of bread) in the various bars and cafes there. Overall this is a great city to have short break in and is a haven for foodies!

Good location and fairly easy to find. Very near Guggenheim and old town - nice walk on the promenade. The hotel reception were very friendly both on check in and out. The room was funky as was the hotel but the room was quite small, not much space between case rest and the bed. However it was clean, quiet and a great bathroom. I would advise people not to go to Bilbao on a Sunday as it is very very quiet with not many bars or restaurants open, but at least that day you can park on the main road for free. Would definitely recommend hotel
