Great stay at the Eresin Crown
Guest name: TWAEM, San Mateo, California
We stayed here for one night on June 10, 2008 prior to leaving for Bodrum for a boat cruise. The location is perfect: five minute walk to the Blue Mosque. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Our bags didn't make our flight from JFK and the manager took a personal interest in solving the problem - we did get them before catching our flight to Bodrum the next day. Our room was very spacious (and would have been even with our suitcases), very clean and comfortable and also very quiet. We would highly recommend the Eresin Crown as a great base of operations for touring Istanbul.
To add another note: breakfast was included in our rate and the terrace restaurant on the top had not only beautiful views of the Sea of Marmara in one direction and the Blue Mosque in the other, but the food was outstanding, too.
We would go back anytime.
Great

A few min from Blue Mosque, hippodrome, Hagia Sophia, the staff, particularly Cetin Koca (front office mgr) is very resourceful and helpful. Hotel contains ancient artifacts found during its construction.

The Hotel is a special catagory Historical property.
It is built on the site of an old palace and has been allowed to incorporate pieces of architecture from the original sight .It even has some original mosaic floor(under glass).
The rooms are very comfortable, the restaurant and food is very good, the service excellent and the view from the rooftop restaurant and bar is outstanding.
The Blue Mosque in one direction and the Bosphorus in the other.
It is very central for most of the historical sights as it sighted in the Sultanahmet district of the old city.
I would recommend this hotel for anyone who want luxury and convenience at a fair price.

Stayed at this hotel with my girlfriend to celebrate our anniversary. I had booked a dinner and asked for roses to be delivered. Not only did we get these done, we also got a personal letter from the manager and hand made chocolates – very impressive! The lobby is unusual in the sense that you feel as though you’re in a museum rather than a hotel and the staff float around quietly.. The food was good– the chef came out to ask us how our food was hence we made our comments directly to the person who whipped up breakfast for us.
The hotel is ideal if you want to be in a relaxed quiet surrounding with history literally in your room! The English spoken by staff is surprisingly good (in comparison to other places ive stayed in ) and the atmosphere is simply - N?CE - classy hotel - must go up to the terrace – we couldn’t have breakfast there as it was cold but we took some fab photos.

Perfectly located – we walked to everything – the bazaar, the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the cutest streets – safe to go walking at nights. The street of the hotel is well lit and quiet.
The terrace was closed due to weather conditions but they were nice enough to allow us to go up there and take in the fabulous view. The staff speak English well. The hotel is well kept and the management are very cautious of people coming in from outside – I assume there are high profile people staying at this hotel from time to time?? I recommend the cocktails at the hotels bar – theres a nice menu of cocktails and we got to try the sultanahmet platter – delicious!
Ideal hotel for honeymoon - the noise factor is low and service standards – excellent.
