Please ignore the reviews on this hotel. I guess people want the best of everything from a cheap hotel. My two friends and i stayed here last year, we paid ?139.00 for a week all inclusive. It was worth every penny and more. Ok so it is not 5 star, the rooms are basic but large, plenty of wardrobe space and very clean. The staff were all very friendly, including the English lady who helped us a lot. Yes there were some guests who could be a little rowdy, the same type as you get in all inclusive 5 stars, however, they did not bother us at all. The food was eatable, we never went hungry ok it wasnt fancy but it did the job. The best thing about this hotel is the fantastic location, everything on your door step. The fact that you can use any hotel in the chain, you could spend a day at a different hotel everyday if you so wished, including the 4 star ones. We used one hotel almost everyday as it was on the beach so we could lay in the sun and use the all inclusive facilities all day there, that was great! We have booked to go again this sept and will be stayi9ng 9 days this time so really looking forward to that.

Booked a holiday for june this year to the Planamar very nervous going after reading some of the reviews, We all had a great time staff was friendly, food was ok we found different things to eat every day we have had better food in some other hotels but you get what you pay for, entertainment was a lot better than some of the hotels we have stayed in,hoping to book again in september,

Ok, so me and my boyfriend stayed here for a week, and i have to say its not the worst hotel, its liveable, food isnt great.. and wee did end up eating out alot, but we took full advantage of the free drinks, however at midnight the bar men would have throw us out of the bar, it wasnt suppose to close to one! rooms are very very basic! would need updated!! overall we did enjoy the hoilday and would go back to malgart de mar.. try out the englash bar just round the corner, the food is fanatastic, and the owners are so welcoming. we had arrived at 12 that night and where really hungary and they served us up a meal, take a day trip to barcelona! its great!

myself, my husband, mydaughter and her fiance,had the misfortune to have holiday from hell here. all the reviews are correct, and people who had there small children with them must have been petrified. This holiday would only suit people who are out to get absolutely plastered, police were called because no security at hotel,food very poor, i would class this hotel as 1 star just,and was insulted to be sent there on the pretence of calling it 3 star,must give cleaners there due they were polite and worked very hard, but our room at the back of hotel was full of ants, rooms very small, entertainment poor, location was great, plenty of shops and bars, train very cheap and frequent and trips from hotel good, but reception staff with the exception of the english lady need to go on a courtesy cause,maybe they could do there training in britain.

We were robbed! This place is just as people have explained it. Loud with poorly trained rude staff and lots of intoxicated people. If you are looking for a place to get drunk and vomit in the courtyard, listen to really bad American Country music, than this is the place for you. We paid for a safe in our room during our stay and when we checked out, the clerk was unable to give us back our safe security deposit. He said "just call and we'll mail it to you." I have been calling, emailing and messaging for nearly two months now with no reply. Someone has our money. If you stay here, don't leave your valuables in the room and know that the hotel itself will rip you off if they are given the chance.
