Nice hotel. Far from the city center, but there's a metro station in 300 meters from the hotel. It's a simple, but convinient and not expensive place to stay in Prague.

The hotel was very nice, and everything was above expectation. It is away from the city center, but the subway is just over the pedestrian bridge across the highway. Great views of Prague Castle, especially at night. There is a castle behind the hotel where you can stroll and/or jog. Breakfast buffet was excellent.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Prague for a one night trip on recommendation from a business partner (who I've never met). As this was my first time in Czech, I was a bit wary but actually the place was very good value. Comfortable room with Wi-Fi :) with good choice of roaming partners including T-Mobile.
Very nice, modern styled public areas and super helpful staff.
Did not try the restaurant, but the breakfast was plentiful, with a reasonable choice on offer.
Location is a couple of miles away from the tourist areas, but the metro station is just around the corner and a ticket for less than $1 is only 5-10 minutes to Prague old town. Seems like a very safe well ordered metro system and easy to navigate.
Taxi's come to front of hotel and they also have there own car that you can go book to go to the airport.

maybe i am just spoiled, but after having stayed at many holiday inns in europe and the US, i think this isn't one of the best ones.
Usually the Holiday Inns stand out because of their amazing breakfast. This one however has a very limited selection of fruits (mosly canned), limited selection of cheeses and coldcuts, cereals (no bran flakes), limited selection of breads, 2 kinds of juices and no smoked salmon!
There are many kinds of muesli (granola) though, and many home made cakes. Also there are bananas and apples.
be also aware that when you come by metro, you need to get up the stairs (no elevator/escalator) to get out of the station and walk about 8 minutes to get to the hotel.
also the hotel is 2 metro stops from the city center. the building is nice, the rooms are ok including the famous auto-calculating minibar. let's see if they will give me a hard time when i check out
****be aware that they don't give you any points (priority club) when the booking was made through a travel agent!!!!! Very disappointing!!!***
