Me and my family stayed at Ch?teau St. Gerlach as a birthday present for my mother. We stayed in one of the family appartments which was overlooking the garden. It was a lovely spacious appartment with two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms. I mentioned to the restaurant staff that it was my mother's birthday and they were so attentive. They even brought her a very special home made birthday cake. The food in one word was excellent, we took an extensive menu and all dishes were fabulous. I cannot understand that a restaurant of this quality lost its Michelin star!!!??? This should seriously be reconsidered. The next morning we got up early and after a nice breakfast we went to do some sightseeing in Maastricht. You do not even have to drive yourself since they have a shuttle bus taking you from the hotel to the city centre of Maastricht and they even pick you up, the time you want!! After a nice day of shopping and sightseeing we went back to the hotel and had a swim in the hotel pool and took a steam bath. Thank you Ch?teau St. Gerlach for making my mothers' birthday, one she will never forget.

Stayed here in the resenditial suite, which is beautiful! Very romantic spaceous room and mostly friendly staff. (The restaurant staff didn't want us drinking coffee there after an evening walk, which gave us a very unwelcome feeling, but I guess that stuff happens when you're not in a suit at such a place, still though, we had the best room... ) Nice location near maastricht, not walkable but they have a shuttleservice.

We have been to this hotel many times, and every time it is great. Even President George W Bush stayed here! The area is gorgeous, very green , lots of land, garden with beautiful roses, vegetable garden, fruittrees, nice in and outdoor swimmingpool, sauna and steamroom. The whole atmosphere is so relaxing, very soutern holland. Food is fantastic. Roominteriour great, very elegant and comfortable, some rooms have an outdoor space, a small gardenarea. Staff is friendly and helpfull. The conservatory breakfastroom is stunning. Andre Rieu,the famous violinist, stays here often as well;he is an 'old' school friend of the owner, michiel oostwegel. It has it's own chapel as well. There is a lot of history in this place. It took the owners 15 years to complete it. Bottomline.... go see this place, you'll love it.

Anlage. Rosengarten zum Träumen und Erholen, Frühstück in hellem Raum mit Blick auf Gartenanlage, im Sommer Frühstück draussen möglich, mitten im sehr gepflegten Garten. Restaurants, Aussenbereiche mit moderne Kunst und Grünanlagen. Extra Plus : Kostenloser Shuttle Service nach Maastricht ! Kaminzimmer im Eingangsbereich . Superfreundliches Personal, grosszügige Parkmöglichkeiten Exklusive Küche, frische Beeren beim Frühstück, frischer Fisch beim Frühstücksbuffet. Alles in allem ist dieses Hotel das beste was ich meinem ganzen Leben besucht habe, ich bin im Aussendienst tätig und kenne viel von Land und Leuten. Sogar George Bush hat das Hotel selber schon besucht, wo Präsidenten absteigen fühlt sich auch der Bürger wohl. Ich sage dazu : 5 Sterne Plus Service in einer 4 Sterne Anlage ! Wir werden das Hotel erneut besuchen, mehr Erholung und Entspannung im Römischen Bad der Anlage mit Sauna und Dampfbad gibt es wohl kaum ! Ein Traum an Hotel von mir 10 Punkte von 10 möglichen dafür !
