We were two independent backpackers and we felt spoiled by this hotel. Out of all the places we have stayed, Kurpflaz has the BEST hot buffet breakfast (that can easily put four star hotels to shame)! The variety was amazing: eggs, pretzels, varieties of toast, varieties of fruit, cut meats, yogurt, milk, juice, liberwurst (my 1st time, but it was delicious). There is nothing like a solid, delicious meal to start the day! The downstairs lounge is also a cafe(can't recall correctly). The reception was very kind, they even let us use their own laptop free of charge for internet. The hotel also gave us a coupon for a two for one dinner deal at a nice restaurant down the street. Two entrees for 11EU? STEAL! The room numbers are made up of funky photos, each different and full of character. Way neat! Pros: Fabulous breakfast buffet Very clean rooms, white sheets, large pillows (which are folded into triangles, I love this idea) Friendly staff Cons: Not 24 hour reception (although i may be wrong about this) location may feel like a hike for some from the main train station Overall, a great little place to stay.

We stayed at this hotel in January and it was very very cold. The floors were lino and the beds were very small and basic. One day we came back to find a house keeping lady taking a break in our room, reading one of our books and eating an orange. When we asked what the hell she was doing, she just ran out muttering in another language. But nothing was taken. Location was good, Very close to street cars.

I found this hotel or perhaps hostel, not so nice as expected. The street was noisy at all hours and the lobby, hallway and the room itself, although clean enough, looked dingy. I usually like a firm bed, but this one was downright hard. Also, the hotel was much farther away from the train station as had hoped. All in all not what I expected. kmiami

Das Hotel bietet ein tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis mit ausgezeichnetem Service und gutem Frühstück. Es liegt etwas außerhalb des Stadtzentrums aber bis zum Hauptbahnhof sind es mit der Bahn nur vier Haltestellen. Fürs Oktoberfest wäre es wohl ausgezeichnet. Die Zimmer sind sauber und komfortabel und das Hotel hat einen separaten Raum fürs Gepäck fü alle diejenigen, die einen späten Abflug haben. Ein sehr gutes Hotel zu einem sehr guten Preis.

Great value hotel with excellant service and good breakfast. The location is a little out of the city centre but its only about four tram stops from the main Hoptbahnhof station. It would be excellant for Oktoberfest though. The rooms are clean and comfortable and they had a secure luggage room for those late flights out. A very good hotel at a very good price.
