Don't eat here... ever...
Guest name: chrishallam, Manchester, UK
We had the unfortunate experience to eat at this hotel during our stay in Dubrovnik. We started the meal with a cocktail... a Sea Breeze, well more the sea and none of the breeze. Service was appauling (the waiter was misery personified). For the main course, overpriced and very poor quality food. Whatever you do, do not order mushroom tortellini, unless of course you are keen on pasta covered in sloppy tinned mushrooms! For desert, are you kidding! After the main courses we didn't dare order anything else. They even add a $4 per person cover charge for no discernible reason. All in all, at $60 for a "meal" for two (note, no wine, just a beer and the so called cocktail to drink, no starters and no deserts) you would be better served looking elsewhere than this place. One to miss.
Helpful, but don't eat there

We felt ourselves very welcome and staff were very helpful all the time. About breakfest: Corn Flakes were the best part of breakfest. Sad but true. Last morning, even coffee was somehow ruined.
Rooms were OK, but maybe some ligther colours and/or bigger windows would make them OK+. Beds were not so good but if you have been in army /hiking/etc. you can get good sleep.
Staff were friendly and able to speak english, so if you can get good deal to this hotel (without eating), get it.

This hotel is a little out of town, though our experience here left us even further out still. We arrived as arranged at 9 in the evening for the first of 2 nigths in Dubrovnik to find that they had over-booked and we had no room despite our reservation. We were then sent to a four star apartment which would struggle to get a second never mind third or fourth star in most areas of Europe. Even at this we had to move rooms both nights to facilitate other bookings. Ridiculous. This place was a further 15 minutes out of town and in the middle of nowhere. The ease with which this was conducted more than suggested that they deliberately overbook at this time of year and use this second rate additional accommodation while still charging their full rate. Don't stay here, there are much better options which are not out to relieve you of your money in such a fashion.

Hotel Dubrovnik is a little out of town, but the bus stop is right across the road. Bus comes every 10-15 minutes to get you into town. The hotel itself excellent, with its own beach, rooms are very nice & clean.

This is a cosy little hotel located in Lapad bay, some 10-15 minutes by bus from the old town. Location is good, nice pebbly beach is 2mins from the hotel, and few more minutes of walking can bring you to some lovely secluded rocky beaches with immaculately clean water.
Hotel is situated in a car free street with a beautiful promenade and lots of restaurants, bars and greenery. Very nice and don’t worry, it was very quiet, so no need to worry about any noise in your room. City bus stop is just a few minutes of walking and will take you through some lovely neighbourhoods right to the entrance of the old town.
I had a single room which was on the small side but quite adequate. It was as what you would expect from a 3-star hotel, even better. Furniture was new, everything was immaculately clean, bathroom was perfect. But the best part was a magnificent and large terrace/balcony overlooking the promenade.
What I didn’t like about this hotel was the food. Breakfast was simple, but I don’t have any major complains. I booked through a travel agency and, although I didn’t want it, I was forced to take a half-board. That was a mistake, but the agency told me all other mid-priced hotels were booked so I didn’t have any choice.
Dinner was not good, to put it mildly. Hotel has a restaurant with a terrace which was full every night with people coming from outside and having some nice looking food. They looked happy. On the other hand, we - half-board guests - were forced to sit inside of the restaurant and had an option of three different menus. The food served to us was not tasty and I overheard other half-board guests complaining as well. Plus I had a feeling of a second class guest forced to sit inside having some tasteless food while first class guests sit just a meter or two from me enjoying fresh air and a la cart food which looked so much better that mine. And it’s not that I paid few peanuts for staying there. I had a single room, half-board, stayed just for two nights (I was charged additionally for staying under 3 days) so you can imagine what was the price. If you can’t - I’ll give you a tip: well (and I mean well) over 100 Euro per night (for a 3-star hotel). I have to tell you I was very much annoyed with that situation.
Anyway, I would definitively recommend this hotel just don’t take the half-board! Stick with the breakfast and have your dinners or lunches somewhere else! You can even have it on a terrace of hotel a la cart restaurant.
