Unfriendly and air-conditioning not working in the room

The hotel is modern and well located if you have to go to the airport, with a free shuttle service. The air-conditioning in our room was not working and it was a lot hotter than in the lobby, reataurant or even the corridor. We complained and they said they would connect it...After an hour it still wasn't working so we asked for a technician who came to the room but didn't even come in because he said he didn't know about air-conditioning. We asked to be given another room but unsuccessfully. I have read other reports on the hotel and the problem of the air-conditioning/heating/hot water seems to come up over and over again.
They asked us to pay in advance when we checked in, and when we refused on principle they said they would keep our passports, although we had booked through on-line and they had our credit card information. The rest was average.

El Hotel Rin es un 4**** muy justito. Se ven las 4 estrellas en la amplitud de las habitaciones, con camas grandes y espacio para las maletas y para moverte, etc.. El cuarto de baño esta bien equipado. La recepción es amplia con sofás y mesitas para tomar un cafe.
La situación es buena si alquilas coche. Está al lado del aeropuerto Henry Coanda y a pocos minutos del centro de Bucarest.
Las pegas se ven en los pequeños detalles. Por ejemplo los manteles del comedor se veían con zurcidos, las colchas de las camas con manchas que se ven que llevan tiempo ahí etc.. He de decir que todo estaba limpio, pero viejito.
El desayuno y la comida del restaurante muy justo también. Por ejemplo no tienen leche. Te dan esos pequeños "botecitos" como los que dan en los aviones. Y para comer la carta hay que descifrarla y el buffet es el mismo todos los días: ensalada, pollo y patatas.
En definitiva es un hotel barato con una buena relación calidad-precio, donde se puede tener una estancia cómoda y que desde mi punto de vista mejoraría muchísimo con un lavado de cara. Pero eso también haría subir el precio, verdad? ;)
