Very clean, friendly, family run hotel. Only about 30 rooms, all of them are individually themed. We stayed in Praga which had a japanese theme with a low bed. We asked for more pillows, which were delivered to the room straight away. The bathroom was well equipped with a "designer" suite and had a shower pod with body jets - much better than expected. The room was cleaned and linen changed daily. There are two restaurants, a small gourmet one that we didn't try, and a larger pizzeria/restaurant with a bar . It was so good we ate there every night. Really good value, large choice of dishes, and attentive service. A large pizza was only 5 euros, and the house wine was very drinkable at 3 euros for a half-carafe. There is a pool for the kids, but it's only small and not heated. The hotel is about 4km from the centre of town, but it's on the Rome side, so easy access from the motorway and good for visiting the hill towns. There is a shuttle bus from the hotel which we should have used because parking in L'Aquila is a nightmare - lots of one way streets and very few parking places. We would really recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

This hotel an amazing bargain! We only paid 65 Euros (at the end of June) and it was spotlessly clean. They recently renovated some of their rooms and they are beautiful. We stayed in Parigi (each of their rooms have the names of major cities). Our room had a great canopy type bed and a dark hardwood floor. The bathroom was giant compared to normal European standards. There was a large shower and the sink fixtures were very modern. I really can't describe how great this room was.
The hotel has a shuttle to and from the train station and the city so even though it is about 4 KM outside of L'Aquila, it is still very worth it to stay there. The owner of the hotel was very nice and gave us a large packet of maps of Abruzzo and L'Aquila, literature about the city, skiing information, and various other pamphlets. He was very helpful during breakfast (which was included) and got us everything we could have needed.
Overall, the staff and rooms of this hotel are excellent and I would definitely suggest it to anyone going to L'Aquila.
