very nice hotel

Elegant marble and tile interior, nice rooms. Within walking distance (for the energetic) of major Lisbon attractions, and right next to a metro stop. Very nice complementary breakfast buffet. Free wifi internet, though the signal in our room was weak and we ended up often going into the hall for a better connection. Very friendly staff.
Centrally located with friendly staff

We stayed at this hotel for seven nights and were very pleased with our choice. We booked a standard room, which was a good size and nicely furnished, the only minus point being the hard bed. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is centrally located, in a quiet street just off the Avenida. The easiest way to get there from the airport is to take the shuttle bus, which stops at the Avenida Metro, two minutes from the hotel. The 3 Euro ticket is valid on buses, trams and elevators for the rest of the day.
Breakfast deserves a special mention, for its excellent quality and wide choice. Coffee was particularly good.
Lisbon has a very efficient and cheap public transport system, and a day ticket will get you around some of the steep hills without stress, but the trams do get packed at busy times.
Number 1 day trip is to Sintra. It's a stunning place but the high views are matched by high prices. In particular, you should avoid the tempting terrace of the Cafe de Paris unless you have deep pockets.
Lisbon has scores of good restaurants but we found that Rua das Portas de Santo Antao, off Rossio, has a good choice of places to eat in a small pedestrianised area which is good for people watching. If you like Italian food, Locanda Italiana is worth a try, where the quality, value and location more than offset the somewhat offhand service.
Number 1 viewpoint - Miradouro de Santa Caterina - great views over the river and reasonably priced drinks.

Stayed at the Plaza Lisboa on a four day trip to Lisbon from the US. Rooms are nice, common areas are very nice, service is excellent, and location is good. Thought the hotel was a great value.Rreally liked Lison. Also, used a driver-guide (for a day trip to Sintra) who I would highly recommend if any reader is interested.

My wife and I stayed here for seven nights in a junior suite. It is an average 4* hotel but centrally located so easy to walk to all the sites. The reception and bar staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were nicely furnished but lacked the little extras of a 5* service - e.g turndown. The breakfast buffet was perfectly adequate as was the lunch. Hoewver, despite what the hotel directory said, the dining room was not open in the evnings. There were bar snacks available and several restaurants within a short distance. The main drwback is that the hotel is squeezed into a site bewteen a car park and a snooker club come dance hall. It has no view or outside sitting area. On a couple of nights the noise from the club kept us awake.
