Service was very poor, staff were rude. The curtains got caught in the window when it was opened, so the curatin was nearly ripped in trying to do so.
When we asked for a hairdryer we were told 'NO'.
I would not recmomend this hotel to anyone.

I stayed at the Andomeda for 6 nights in early May 2006. The hotel has a number of weak points but also has a number of strong points. the weak points include:
poor curtains, and potentially unsafe cooking arrangements, as the electric stove is built into what would otherwise have been the drainer of the sink, and shabby tiled halls.
The good points were: excellent location in the embassy area of Madrid, located about 300m from the gay part of Madrid which has an excellent selection of restaurants, 75m from the nearest metro station, excellent cafe at street level, in-house pay laundry, cable TV, supermarket 300m, internet/telephone salon 200m, and located about 2km (20min) walk from central Madrid. Our double bed was very satisfactory and although our spanish was limited the staff were responsive to our requests. Our third floor room looked across to a very pleasant garden full of spring flowers on the opposite side of the road.
Having stayed in 47 hotels across Spain in 10 weeks, this was not the best but for the price we paid of 71 Euros a night, booked in advance over the internet ,we would consider it good value for Madrid.
