Great little hotel very near the Odeon theatre in St. Germain and a short walk from delightful Luxembourg Gardens.
The room (Room 11) was very clean, well decorated and quiet - overlooking the lovely garden courtyard at the back. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
A smashing place to stay and a good base to explore Paris. It was so nice we will stay there again.

I booked this hotel based on the other reviews and was so glad they were so accurate! After staying there, I completely agree with all the reviews. (1) Location of this hotel is amazing. This was the first time for both my boyfriend and I to visit Paris. The location of this hotel made it so easy to navigate to all the sites that we wanted to see. It was very close to both a RER and Metro station. (2) While the room is small, the bathroom was of a very good size. This made the fact that the room was small less noticeable. The room itself was quite comfortable. Free wifi in the room was a surprise bonus. (3) Cleanliness and maintenance was not an issue. Whenever we came back to our rooms, everything was in great condition. The staff did a great job (4) The front desk reception was very friendly and spoke very good English. They helped us with whatever our needs were.
Overall I very much enjoyed my stay here. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again on my next trip to Paris!

Stayed at the Hotel de l'Odeon in July for 4 days. Location is great, about 5 min walking distance from a metro (Odeon) and RER B (Luxemberg). The hotel was kind enough to upgrade us from a double to a superior, which although the room was still small (we were in it mostly only to sleep), came with an amazingly large private balcony. Even with the curtains from the french doors open, no one could see into our room, and we had a great view of the small interior garden. Our balcony had lovely grapevines, and other greenery with a small wrought iron table with two chairs. Great for some wine in the evening.
The only complaint we had was the size of the showers. My husband is 6'2" and 240 lbs (Obviously not European:-)), and he had a very hard time managing with the tiny, tiny shower stall (About half the size of a normal hotel shower stall w/out tub in the US). They make the most of a very tiny space. On a positive note, the water pressure was GREAT! and there was plenty of hot water. The rooms were very clean, and I have to compliment the cleaning staff, because they did a fantastic job, every day. When we got back, our room would look like it did when we first checked in. I would recommend this hotel to others.

A Fine Hotel in A Great Neighborhood

My husband and I have stayed in Paris a number of times and we love this quiet street a block from The Luxembourg Gardens. Le Jardin de L'Odeon is a most comfortable hotel with an accommodating staff and facilities that make traveling a pleasure. Our room--facing the courtyard-- was spacious enough to make it comfortable for down time, and the bed was firm with nice linens. There was a mini-bar with reasonable prices although we simply used the refridge to keep our own water chilled. The bathroom was the nicest we have had in Paris--modern with great water pressure, lots of hot water, nice sized bars of soap and good toiletries, and a line to hang things to dry, if needed. (Another asset is that there is a laundry just around the corner on rue Monsieur le Prince.) The hotel also has Wi Fi--pronounced Wee Fee in France--and a computer in the lobby. All the facilities of the hotel, including daily room maintenance, were excellent. The front desk staff did everything they could to help us, including ordering a Navette to CDG for our return to the US. This is obviously a hotel that sets high standards for all aspects of its operation and sees that they are met. We hope to return to Le Jardin de L'Odeon in the future.
a great little place!

The Jardin de L'Odeon is a great little hotel in a really fantastic location in Paris. Tucked away in a quiet side-street but still only stone's throw from many major landmarks it was the perfect base for us during our long weekend break. Being situated in between St. Germain and the Quartier Latin provided the best of both worlds for eating and drinking, with both fine dining and the more budget bistro food available in abundance - all within walking distance of the hotel. There's also great shoppjng nearby too.
The hotel itself was extremely well presented - clean and well-furnished and the staff were very polite and friendly. Our standard double room was quite small, but the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was of a good standard too. If I HAD to raise any fault with our stay it would be that the walls were quite thin and consequently noise from the corridor and adjacent rooms (ie bath/taps running) was at times a disturbance. I expect, however, that this would be much the same for any hotel situated in a similarly old building.
All in all we had a great time, were very well looked after, and will definitely be staying there again. Thank you to everyone at Le Jardin de L'Odeon!
