Although the staff is lovely, the hotel is a bit of a shame. The old elevator gives it a nice antique look, but pretty much anyone could come right off the street into the hotel without ever passing by the lobby. The bed was just awful, the curtains were absolutely rotten and the shower was so tiny I often bumped on the hot/cold cap when turning around to soap myself - which turned the water from boiling hot to freezing cold in a second - not nice!! Also, breakfast was quite poor - just plain bread and tea. Not even a slice of cheese! Very far from the city centre but very close to main tube station.
