I was relocated to this hotel after having a problem with my original booking. It was a last minute arrangement so I couldn't complain so my comments are probably generous compared to my attitude if I chose this place myself.
The hotel is located close to the red light district, and have several metro stations close by giving easy access to the main sites. It is also within walking distance to the Opera.
The staff was very friendly, and the room was spacious. It was reasonably clean with the exception of the bed sheets which was stained. As I didn't find out until the evening, there was no one available to change it. The receptionist provided clean sheets, but they literally told me to change it myself.
Overall I would grade this hotel 2 star as it's not very well maintained, and the rooms were not well insulated as I could hear every word of the conversation in the next room. Not bad if you're on a budget, but I wouldn't choose to stay again.

I booked this hotel at an excellent rate via an international hotel website and was slightly apprehensive when I read other reviews. We stayed here for 4 nights in December and were given two lovely rooms on the first floor as requested (my wife doesn't like lifts). Both rooms were very clean and quite spacious for this type of hotel. Staff were consistently friendly. Towels, etc, were replaced daily. Breakfast was a good buffet. My only complaint is that a group of young Italians staying at the hotel would come back late at night and make an extraordinary amount of noise without any consideration for other guests - perhaps the night receptionist could have intervened. But the hotel itself was very comfortable and I would recommend it to anyone on a budget (check the various booking websites for the best price) who wishes to stay within walking distance of both Montmartre and les grands magasins.

I spent the xmas break in Paris and stayed at the blackstone opera hotel. I must say the reviews about it on this site dont do it ANY justice...maybe the reviews were a while ago and the hotel improved...but the only valid comment is the small elevator, other than that i found none of the negative points mentioned.
It is a very clean hotel...room and bathroom are very good...They had clean towels which were replaced daily (someone had made a comment earlier about their towels)....Breakfast is ok, just the standard and nothing special...but the best thing about it is the location...its 2 minutes walk to a metro station which is just few stops away from all main attractions...its also a walking distance from galerie laffayate and the shopping area over there.....its also 1 minute walk from a reasonable size supermarket which is handy if you a child and need to buy snacks for the day every morning.....overall i highly recommend it...i cant comment on the prices cause i got mine through a special offer with a company i collect points with..but i think up to 100 euros per night would be reasonable for the hotel

Das Hotel war um 1300 Uhr immer noch nicht frei, obwohl angegeben ab 1200 Uhr bezugsbereit.
Dann war das Zimmer nicht sauber, vorallem das Badezimmer nicht. Der Föhn war defekt, die Brause konnte nur in der Hand gehalten werden, das Waschbecken war teilweise verstopft. Das Frühstück war so oh la la.
