We stayed at Real Orto Botanico on 4/24. It is more a businessman’s hotel than tourist, but it met all of our requirements. We changed to this hotel from Piazza Bellini as we didn’t want to deal with the parking/luggage/no bellman issues. Parking nearby (but not on same side of street of hotel) and there’s a small circular drive to turn into to drop off luggage. Restaurant next door is wonderful. Highly recommend it. Probably best meal I had entire trip. It is about a 15 minute walk to the Archeological Museum.

benchè abbia pernottato una sola notte, il real orto botanico è sicuramente un hotel da consigliare per diversi motivi. la posizione abbastanza centrale e comunque in una zona "sicura"; camere spaziose e anche se sulla strada insonorizzate; arredamento curato; personale accogliente; se poi prenotate direttamente dal sito internet, come ho fatto, potrete usufruire di offerte interessanti. qualche piccola pecca sulla manutenzione di alcuni dettagli, ma tali da non cambiare il giudizio generale, comunque positivo.

I should have done this as soon as we got back. My first trip to Naples - we've been to Rome, Venice, Florence, Verona, Lake Garda before- but I came back from a week in Naples desperate to learn Italian to make future trips even better. The hotel is cool. It's about 20 minutes walk from the centre but what a wonderful way to actually see the city. We got lost many times - happily lost - but you can always get a cab if you need to. The hotel was great - friendly staff - lovely rooms - interesting views (by which I mean gazing out of the window watching Naples go about its day to day life - pure theatre) I know this has been said before in the reviews but the restaurant about 100 yards up the road is amazing! We arrived at about 7pm to a completely empty restaurant - and about 20 minutes later the whole of Italy was waiting down the street for a table. I can honestly say it is the best meal out I have ever had - the food was good but the atmosphere was unbelievable. We stayed a week at this hotel and it wasn't long enough

Dopo aver letto le altre recensioni, eravamo convinti che ci saremmo pentiti amaramente di aver scelto quest'hotel, invece siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi. I membri del personale erano tutti molto cordiali (tranne uno). La colazione non era male, c’era cibo in abbondanza ed era fresco. La camera era spaziosa e pulita. Si trovava sul davanti dell'edificio e si affacciava sulla trafficata strada principale, ma l’isolamento acustico funzionava perfettamente. In generale, è stato un soggiorno davvero piacevole.

After reading other reviews on this hotel I was expecting to be really sorry we had booked this hotel but ended up being very pleasantly surprised. All the staff were very friendly (except one). Breakfast was ok, fresh and plenty of it. The room was spacious and clean. Even though we were on the front of the hotel and on the very noisy main road (lots of traffic and tooting horns) the soundproofing was pretty effective. All in all a very enjoyable stay.
