Where do I start? My Fiancee and I stayed in this hotel as we are getting married in August in the Church beside the hotel. The views when you arrive are spectacular, you can see the town below you along with the surrounding villages. The staff are extremely helpful and were more than happy to speak english when they realized my portuguese wasnt that great. The rooms were clean and tidy basic amienities were available ie tv, wardrobe etc the views from the balcony are even more spectacular than the view from the car park. I would encourage anyone staying at the hotel to travel to some of the near by villages especially Roda and Oliviera (I apologize if the spelling is incorrect) I visted them as my fiancee is from Roda and I must say I have never seen anything like it. The people are very friendly and extremely helpful. Not many of the people in the town itself speak english but this shouldnt put you off going it should only encourage you to learn some basic portuguese as you will find it is well worth the effort. All in all i think the area itself is the most beautiful place i have ever seen and would reccomend it to anyone who would listen.

Very friendly hotel, set in beautiful unspoilt country, close to Viseu, Coimbra and the Serra da Estrela. Fantastic views from the hotel. Lovely gardens; large open-air swimming pool and pleasant indoor pool as well. Good breakfast, reasonable main meals (we ate out most of the time). Decor a little tired, but the room was comfortable, with a small balcony and good bathroom. Very little noise from other rooms or elsewhere. The suites looked nice. Friendly and helpful staff. Overall a very positive experience. Will be happy to go back.
