Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Atrium Hotel. We were picked up at the airport by the hotels taxi service (90 zloty). Even though our flight was early the driver was already waiting for us. He spoke good english and pointed out and told us about places of interest enroute back to the hotel.
On arrival at the hotel we were surprised at the size of our room (we booked a triple), it was massive and the bathroom was very big. The hotel was spotless and quite modern.
Breakfast consisted of fruit juices, tea, coffee, breads, ham, cheese, jam, cereals, fruit and eggs and bacon.
We booked the trip to Austwich & Birkenau through the hotel, this was 450 zloty. The driver Peter took us to Oskar Schindlers factory and into the ghetto at no extra charge. They took us right into Austwich, spoke to the ticketsellers for us and explained exactly where we had to go and they were waiting for us when we came out. In short we were treated like royalty!
The hotel is 10mins walk to the main market square and 5 mins walk to the train station.
I would recommend the hotel Atrium to anyone.

Stayed at Hotel Atrium for 3 nights, our room was huge with a seperate bedroom and a small well equipet kitchen, spotless clean, it was a pleasure to stay here. Breakfast was very good lots of variety, and the staff very friendly and helpful. A short walk to the Square also with plenty of public transport. One bad point there's construction going on opposite the hotel, so no need to ask the reception for a 7am wake up call.

We were unexpectedly given a suite , which was really spacious ! So lots of room ! We stayed 4 nights
Everything clean and staff friendly. No complaints . Breakfast mediocre ..but is is only 3 star.
This hotel is in a not very attractive backstreet , but in an excellent location to walk to the old town and market square .
There is also a great 'traditional market' at the end of the road with fresh fruit for snacks and Polish food delicacies to take home .
Would certainly recommend it!.

Having checked "Trip Advisor" before booking, I took a chance and booked the Hotel Atrium in Krakow.
The front of the hotel overlooked a building site with two large 'pile driver' cranes - getting the drift ? Work on this long term project site started at 7a.m. or even before ! It was necessary to close the widow in order to cut out some of the noise from the trams (at night / early morning) and site traffic. The double glazing was quite good but it didn't cut out those cranes !!
This then left the problem that with no a/c one 'boiled' through a restless night in a small room - YES - the rooms are small, if you're not lucky enough to have more than a double / twin room.
On a plus - the hotel was bright, clean and tidy. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was more than ample.
