The lady on the desk here was one of the most helpful people I have come across. She booked our Alhambra tickets for us in advance (I had read that they would do this for us) after I emailed the hotel, she had very good recommendations for eating and drinking and shopping in Granada, and she generally made a fairly ordinary hotel quite exceptional. The room was tiny with no outside windows (just a skylight), and because of the cheap fit out in the building, the room was a bit noisy as well. It helped to shut off the door to our hallway. The hotel itself is in a great location, halfway up the hill to the Alhambra and opposite the old town.
Overall I would say that for the price the room was good, but don't expect too much.

We just stayed at this hotel a couple of weeks ago and were quite pleased. It is an excellent location and the staff were quite friendly (with someone at the front 24 hours, which is helpful!). The room itself was big enough - we were on the first floor facing the street in a Superior. It was nice to have access to the internet as we needed to book a hotel in our next stop. The street noise was not outrageous, though I do recommend bringing plenty of earplugs throughout Spain. It's just a lively country!
A dream come true hotel

For the cheap price (70 euro a night), we found this hotel to be more than perfect. They booked our Alhambra tickets first, then they upgraded our room to the top floor on the street with a spectacular view of the Alhambra because the hotel had vacant rooms. The staff is made of cute professional ladies. There is free internet, coffee, and tea. The rooms looked like they had been recently remodeled to have a clean modern look inside of laminate wood and frosted glass doors. Although i could tell the materials were done a little bit cheap, it nontheless looks nice and clean. The hotel even gave us little presents for choosing them (a straw hat and a landyerd).
The location was also too good to be true for the price of this hotel. You can walk to the alhambra, go to the arabic market, go to very nice bars for tapas and vino, go to pubs, and the famous club nearby, and walk through the little narrow streets nearby. Its in an awesome central point. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone and I would definitely go back to it. This has been one of the few hotels that i truely enjoyed for the cheap price it is...and im very picky. But then again, prices are usually cheap in Granada.
We got our cheap price for the hotel at venere.com.
I love Granada

This hotel is situated right off of Plaza Nuevo so there are many choices for restaurants and shops. It was very easy to find. It is a simple 20 minute bus ride from Granada's main bus terminal. if you are not happy taking the 25 minute walk - up hill - to the Alhambra, there are many buses that can take you up there for only 1,10euro.
As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by Carmen at reception. She was warm and friendly (English speaking). She provided us with maps and tips for getting around town. Our hotel room was small in size but very clean. Unfortunately, there was no real shower stall. Only a few folding doors that tried to keep the water from spraying all over the bathroom. Because of this, the bathroom was constantly wet, which contributed to a wet smell in the room. Our room was front facing onto the main road. There was a bar across the street. So if you're going to try and sleep early, I would suggest getting a room located at the back of the hotel so that you won't hear the bar noise. The hotel also offered 2 computer stations to check email. Coffee and tea were complementary all day during your stay.
