we stayed here for one night on our way up to oregon. overall, it served the purpose of providing us with a place to rest and sleep. rooms were small but well equipped (there was even a mini refrigerator and microwave in each room. insulation wasn't too great as you can hear people talking right outside your room as if there were no barriers. and eventhough we requested a non-smoking room, we could tell that people have smoked in the room recently--so ventilation could be better. and in a place where the weather can reach above 100 degrees, you would expect the air conditioning to be central cooling, but their use of a whole in the wall air conditioner unfortunately only cooled one location of the room--the area closest to it! we only stayed for one night so it was bearable and the front desk people were very friendly so that was good.

I booked a night at this hotel but due to unforseen events I wouldn't get to the hotel until 3 or 4am so I inquired about cancelling the room on short notice. I was informed that if I cancelled that I had to pay for the room anyways so I said that we would still need the room for a few hours sleep. I was informed by the very, very rude "owner" of this establishment that I could not stay there now. He stated that expedia had cancelled my room (which they DID NOT) and I double confirmed. He insisted that it was cancelled and that I was being charged for it but could not stay there - can you believe that? Expedia ended up giving me a credit for my stay (because they could not deal with this person either) and we found a different hotel. The hotel may be decent to stay at per other customer reviews, but the staff have NO idea about customer service. I have stayed at many, many hotels and have never been treated with such disrespect and carelessness. Unbelievable.

We stayed here during Kool April Nites in 2003. We arrived late in the afternoon and the motel was fully booked, so we were glad we had reservations for two nights. We were appointed a groundfloor room. Once we entered the room, we noticed the carpet hadn't been vacuumed properly. It looked like there had been furniture in one corner, but it had been removed. The smoke-dectector didn't work. But that wasn't the worsed part. When I went to take a shower, I quickely changed my mind, because the bathroom was absolutely filthy! Stains in the bathtub and all over the toilet!
All in all, it seemed like this room had been used for a longterm stay and hadn't been cleaned for a while.
The woman at the frontdesk blamed it on the housekeeping help, who was mentally handicapped. Lame excuse...
Another room wasn't available so she offered to clean the room herself and so she did, while we went for a short walk.
The next day we we're pampered with complimentary newspapers, loads of extra bathroomsupplies and handsfull of mints. We also got the first night free of charge.
I guess, after it was properly cleaned, it was good value for money.

While the staff did not have the correct bed number or size as per our reservation, they more than made up for the lack by providing a roll-a-way for our child and very quickly too. We did not arrive until 9 pm and our child was quite sleepy, so this was very nice. Also, the desk clerk hauled our extremely heavy three pieces of luggage up the stairs which was also great and he tried to refuse our tip. The Black Bear Diner right next door is very good for a diner and the service is excellent. We were also surprised that we had free high speed internet access. With such great service and value, we'll definately be staying here in the future.

Ok- I have never actually submitted review before, but I could not let anyone else make the mistake of coming to this hotel after relying on the previous posts.
I just checked in and got to my room. This is the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at. You will see from the pics I attached.
When I got to my room, there was a nice condom wrapper greating me at the room. Upon further inspection, I noticed the chairs had "questionable" stains (see pics) and the matress was completely filthy! The carpets are one continuous stain and the wall have a "nice" pathwork paint-job to set the mood.
I was under the impression I would be staying at comfortable and clean place. I was wrong. This place is filthy. I am actually looking for another hotel as we speak.
On the bright side, at least their wireless internet works so that I could send you this review.
All the best
