We spent several days here and thought it was great. There was a little bag of goodies with cold medicine, tea, 2 full size deodorants, hair ties, and some other stuff. The rooms were not large but were clean and had everything we needed. The wireless internet (free) in the room worked great. The staff was friendly and could not have been more helpful. There was a room with a hot tub and an outdoor pool. The breakfast was very good with waffles, bagels, pastries, cereal, coffee and juice. I found a coupon for 15% off in the South Dakota Tourism magazine, they honored it and we paid about $60 a night. Locaion near highway and Haines Avenue made it convenient for travel while still close to town. We would stay there again in a minute. Great value! We had a delayed flight and stayed at Quality Inn our last night and it was $100, the room was a little bigger, but the staff wasn't nearly as helpful.

I was leading seven college students on a May term course on Standing Rock Reservation in South Dakota. After three weeks volunteering in a very poor community and sharing two bedrooms, and one shower, we headed south to explore the Black Hills. I'd made a reservation with what I thought was Day's Inn I-90 in Rapid City where I'd stayed the previous three trips. Upon arrival, the hotel had not record of my reservation and even the national said they did not recognize my confirmation numbers. We were directed to America's Best Value where the manager gave us adjoining rooms for the same low price the reservation line had given me for Day's Inn!!!!! Overall, they probably lost $70 per night by giving us that rate and the manager, Reeba, was kinder than kind. We also love the free Black and Green chocolate bars at the front desk, the make-your-own waffles, and gift bags in the rooms. The rooms are comfortable and sparkling clean. The staff was very accommodating. The front desk workers gave us good information about places to visit and restaurants to eat at. We were so happy to find that there were refrigerators and microwaves in our rooms, as well as a barbecue grill, and a large room (used for breakfast) available for guests with large families to use for dinning together. The breakfast was very satisfactory as well. The children loved that there was a different flavor (along with the standard) of waffle each morning. The pool and other public areas were clean and very well kept. My sister made the reservations for us, and we were very happy with them.

The hotel staff should be commended on their excellent service and overall treatment of patrons. We were treated like family and Reva (at the front desk), went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. Their hospitality was superb, the hotel was exceptionally clean, and the breakfast bar was excellent and with a great variety of good food. I will look forward to stay at this hotel anytime I visit the Rapid City area. Great job!!!!!!!!!
