I read all of the reviews and was totally prepared for the worst when we left for Florence. Once we found the bus stop to head to the hotel, we piled onto a crammed bus that stopped about a half mile from our hotel and kicked us all off, i assume, because his shift was over. So my boyfriend and i hauled our suitecases the rest of the way...thank goodness i had printed out a map, or i would have been even MORE pissed off.Once we found the hotel, the older gentleman at the desk helped us, with little to no personality. Our room was VERY basic...a bed, a desk, a lamp, a small TV, a phone that didnt work, a window with a mini balcony, and an OLD A/C unit that was loud and didnt blow out very cold air. We stuck it out...the front desk did make us reservations at a fabulous restaurant. The hotel is a good 25-35 min walk into the main city, but we enjoyed the walk, and stopped at a few stores on the way. So I didnt think it was the 'Worst hotel in Florence', but i think we'll spend the extra bucks to get an air conditioned place in the main city centre next time.

This hotel was absolutely the worst I have ever seen. After looking at the room I immediately left and looked for a new hotel. There was mold on the floor and in the shower. The room smelled and had numerous mosquitos. Furthermore, the dust was caked on the lighting fixtures and there was an 8 month expired candy bar in the mini fridge. The receptionist at the other hotel I checked into said the Da Verrazano is the worst hotel in all of Florence/Firenze.

Un hotel qui laisse réelement à désirer. Etudiants n'ayant pas énormément de moyens, nous avons opté pour un changement d'hotel pour la deuxième nuit. Nous avons demandé à changer de chambre dès le premier jour car nous entendions tous se qui se passaient dans le couloir. La chambre étant près de l'ascenceur. La sécurité des chambres est incertaine, le montant des portes étant cassées. Attention à vos objets de valeur. Les deux chambres qui nous ont été donné, l'une d'une gamme au dessus par rapport à l'autre, nous avons retrouvés les mêmes inconvénients. Voisins d'à côté, du dessus peu bruyant ...dans une chambre normalement constitué nous devrions convenir d'un bruit (sur une échelle de 0 à 10), au moins égal à 5, nous estimons dans cet hotel, un 1. Le système de prises est défaillant, des fils sortent des murs. Bref un KO total. Sachez que le personnel ne renseigne pas correctement en se qui conserne le remboursement. Nous ne savons encore pas, si notre 2e nuit prévu sera remboursée. Attention renseignés vous bien avant au près de votre tour opertor.

Dieses Hotel war furchtbar. In unserem Zimmer ging das warme Wasser nicht und die Geschäftsführung ließ uns immer wieder auf die Reparatur warten. Wir verbrachten drei Tage in diesem Hotel, und niemand kam, um das Problem zu lösen. Sie weigerten sich auch bis zum letzten Abend, uns ein anderes Zimmer zu geben, sechs Stunden, bevor wir auscheckten. Die Angestellten waren äußerst unhöflich und defensiv, als wir sie darum baten, das Problem mit dem Wasser zu lösen. Frühstück war ein Witz; man musste praktisch darum betteln, um auch nur ein Croissant zu bekommen. Sie behaupten, sie seien ganz in der Nähe vom Zentrum, aber zu Fuß sind es fast 45 Minuten, und nicht 20, wie das Hotel behauptet. Es entspricht definitiv nicht der Werbung, ist sehr schmutzig und die Klimaanlage ging andauernd aus, weil sie von der Lobby aus eingestellt wird. Ich würde dieses Hotel niemanden empfehlen.

Questo posto è stato orribile. L'acqua calda non funzionava nella nostra camera, e la direzione continuava a prenderci in giro con false promesse su quando sarebbe stata ristabilita. Ci siamo stati tre giorni e nessuno ha mai riparato il guasto. Hanno anche rifiutato di spostarci in un'altra camera fino all'ultima notte, sei ore prima della nostra partenza. Il personale è stato estremamente scortese quando abbiamo chiesto di riparare il problema dell'acqua calda. La colazione era uno scherzo, bisognava praticamente implorare per avere qualcosa di semplice come una brioche. Dicono di essere molto vicini al centro ma ci vogliono circa 45 minuti a piedi, non 20 come scritto nella descrizione dell'albergo. Non è assolutamente come descritto, molto sporco, l'aria condizionata si spegneva di continuo perché era controllata dalla direzione. Non consiglio questo albergo a nessuno.
