Great little hotel in beautiful Interlaken. Close to the Interlaken West railway station, 5 mins walk. We arrived at the Interlaken Ost (East) station - 20 mins walk - if possible suggest you go through to the West station. Spacious room, good service and good breakfast. Lots of nice restaurants within 100 metres. Suggest you try the Thai restaurant. The main shopping and tourist bureau are just around the corner. internet cafe about 25 metres away. There is a laundromat in Interlaken about 40 metres from the Hotel. On the way we came across a laundry with a very helpful lady owner who washed and folded our clothes (same day) for about the same cost as the laundromat. Hotel supplied iron and ironing board.

We stayed at City hotel in August 2005 for 2 nights. It's a small family operated hotel near a nice italian and indian resturant. Even though its a small hotel but they managed to have one small elevator (capacity of up to 4 people)which was great as we didn't have to carry our luggage through stairs!! It's within 15 minutes of walking distance from interlaken train station and right in the heart of the city. We got a standard double room which was very clean and spacious. Room had one good size closet, toilet was basic but very clean. Though it had a bit of light issue (not enough light). Very friendly and helpful staff. The man on the reception in the morning guided us on how to get to Jungfraugh(a must see). Overall it was well worth the money and i would definitely stay there again!!
