My husband and I spent one night in the Grand Hotel du Havre. There was a lot of black mold growing on the wall paper and there was no air conditioning in the room so it was hot and moist. Apparently only some of the rooms have A/C and it's not turned on until a certain date in summer. The noise from the street was too loud to be able to open the window to air out the place. (We didn't have pillowcases either). I didn't see a check-out time posted anywhere, yet we were called before noon (as we were packing to go) and told that the room was not available for another night. The price was good and the location was good but I would not choose to stay there again.

This hotel is not on the ile de France but it does have a great location. You cannot use a phone card to call from the hotel phones and you need to download the Meteour software before you arrive, to use their wireless service. My room was on the top, (5th) floor at the front and had a balcony. This may have added to the black mold problem, which ran up the corners of the room and around the light switches and may be under the heavy wallpaper. The bathroom was a bit grubby but the tub, sink and toilet were clean. It's a good basic three star paris hotel. The location is wonderful. Close to The Madeline and a minute from shopping at Printemp and Gallerie Lafayette, etc.

Séjour de 2 nuits pour une formation à Paris, j'ai eu la joie de dormir dans une chambre de bonne de style couloir, dans un lit d'enfant, heureusement je mesure 1,70 m, sentant la cigarette , à la déco année 70 (dégradé de vert poisseux) et dont l'accès relevait du parcours du combattant... pour un prix de 120 € (ptit dej compris facturé 20 € n'en valant pas le 1/4). A déconseillé malgré la belle facade.
