Fine for the price paid...

The overall evaluation is FINE for the price I have paid for 7 days and there are as usual always some "but"s:
1. Carpeting has not been renewed for a long time and it's wear out.
2. The breacfast organisation is not efficient enough: there was unpleasant situation that might be very easily avoided with giving more information in English to the guests especially non-French speaking. (there were breakfast arranged for a tourist group in the main canteen room and the lady that were serving the main room did speak only French and could not clearly explain to me and my friend why we should go out of the main room and where. She was very irritated with our "ignorance" and it was unpleasant and very emberassing so as we both felt beeing sent away from the breakfast we paid for and what was done by that ladies will.... That was really disappointing even when we asked the question, receiption adminstrator has explained that there was additional room for other guests served. (I suppose we were expected to read their mind..;-) That was too late - the good mood and appetite has disappeared for that day... :-(((((
In common, the breakfast quality was good (a bit missed hot meal like saussage and fried egg, but OK. ;)
Our room has been cleaned regularly and promptly I may say.
The rooms are small, but me and my boyfriend were spending most of the time walking in Paris and only took a shower and slept in our room - no need in huge room for this purpose. That was even a small motivation not to be lazy: to leave the hotel early in the morning and not to come back too early.... ;-))

This is a great little hotel which fitted the purpose. We stayed for two nights and found the rooms clean and fresh although a little compact and perfect for a city break the the metro on the next street. Every room had a safe which was great. Not many mod cons, tv and internet connection and phone but what more do you need when you go for sight seeing, after all we only slept there!
Breakfast was fantastic with a full range of continental and french food and was a buffet so we filled up for our days sight seeing.
The staff were very polite and helpful at all times during our stay.
We would recomend this hotel for anyone who want something basic for sight seeing

I stayed on a business trip for four days. The rooms are small, the carpet really filthy, and the whole room smells of smoke. The website claims wifi in all rooms. The reality is one old PC downstairs at a horrible price, where you can only use internet explorer (for finding a free hotspot nearby, thanks...).
The surroundings could be better, however, it is close to the big flea market... in the morning I could not get into the metro as there were so many people, I tried to catch a taxi, but the man asked me to get out into the rain after I had said where I wanted to go because he did not like/know very well the neighbourhood(Défense!!!)
In brief, the hotel, its services and surroundings are dodgy. You had better choose another hotel.

Very disappointed with the standard of this Hotel. The bedroom was filthy. When booking we requested a travel cot for our 1 year old daughter. We did not receive it upon arrival so when we asked for the travel cot we were given a fold up camp bed??? our daughter had to sleep in our bed. We also had to take a blanket off the bed to lay on the floor as our daughter was learning to walk. The carpet had seen better days. It was disgusting. The bathroom was tiny and the bath leaked into the bedroom. The carpet was stained from the water and smelled. The safe didn't work and was not fixed while we were there. The food for breakfast was ok. The bar was very limited and only had one bottle of white wine.
The location was ok. A bit far away from the city centre/attractions but very well served by the Metro(around the corner). I would not recommend this hotel

This place is terrible. You arrive and the reception area is very pleasent and you think you will be very happy in this hotel. Unfortunately not... The rooms just let the whole place down. The walls were dirty, there's nowwhere to put your clothes, no way of having a shower (as no bracket on the wall to put shower head in), all furniture is chipped as its made from cheap mdf wood, the painting on the wall could only be described as scary, the list goes on but dont have the time. The whole experience just wasn't what i expected at all. Within 3 hours of arriving and some lengthy and expensive phone calls i had checked out of the Abrial. 3 star accomadation.. Dont think so
