The staff was very friendly and professional . Very good standards of cleaniness and allthough situated in a central position our room managed to be very quiet.
The location is near to La Place Clichy where you can find excellent restaurants and the same by Saint Lazare. If you are a good walker you can walk from it to the Louvre and we even managed to the Sacre Coeur. The room where we stayed was rather small but the bed was comfortable. The bathroom allthough also small had all the necessary facilites including soap, shower cap, hair dryer etc. and plenty of clean towels.
The comments I would make are that because there is no room service for breakfast all rooms should have tea or coffee making facilities. Room service for coffee or tea or just the odd brandy would also have been useful to us. At the present there is only room service for evening meals.
The hotel breakfast is excellent and good value at 10 Euros and served in a very interesting area. One cannot expect more for this price and at such a location.

We bid for a 4 star hotel on Priceline and ended up with La Fleche D Or, which is in NO WAY a 4 or 3 star hotel. We were in a room the size of a closet. Once we put our bags down (on the FLOOR) we could barely walk around. The remote for the TV was on a chain to the nightstand. The bathroom was barely functional with no soap. The light switch was at the head of the bed so we kept turning on the lights as we turned over at night. Absolutely HORRIBLE. We booked two nights and left after one night. It was to be a stop during our trip for my birthday, and it was awful. Do not stay there unless you are prepared to sleep in a closet.

stayed here for 4 nights. room was very clean but a bit small and
would recommend taking some coathangers as there is only a single wardrobe so it is a squeeze when there are 2 of you in a double room.t here is another single wardrobe with shelves.minibar prices about normal - 3euros for a bottle of water.room was cleaned every day and also towels changed.the Place de Clichy is just at the top of the road and there are lots of bars/restaurants.we went to the Bistro Melrose twice - profiteroles are to die for!! we also went to le petit poucet every morning for breakfast. it only costs 4 euros for a taxi down to the champs elysees or there is a metro station at place de clichy. the staff at reception are really nice and very helpful. would probably not go back as it is a bit expensive for what you actually get but all the hotels in Paris we have stayed at have been a bit of a disappointment as far as value for money goes - this is our 5th time..saw inside a twin room at this hotel and it was very cramped so would not advise bookong a twin.so if you are looking for a clean, reasonably located hotel and don't mind overpaying then this hotel is for you.
