Stayed here for 3 nights in May.
Location is great, within walking distance of Guggenheim and shops etc.
Hotel looks fantastic from the outside and the reception area and lounge is lovely.
Rooms are large, I wouldn't say modern but nicely decorated. Eating in this hotel is SO expensive, we tried it one night and would not recommend it. There are no brochures in the reception area for day trips, or maps to say where you were. I didn't feel it was tourist orientated at all. Reception had very little English and I have very little Spanish so it was a real ordeal asking for directions so we basically just winged it the whole time and spent hours wandering the streets.
The bar is has an odd atmosphere to it too, there are only about 5 tables in it and it is not very private, we took our drink out to the lounge which we had to ourselves and it was much nicer. We found the bar prices to be a bit on the expensive side also.

This is a lovely hotel and right in the heart of everything. It was beautifully decorated and the room had air conditioning, which is hard to come by in Europe for some reason. The king bed was two queens pushed together with a king headboard. I don't believe you will find any different in Spain? We got a great rate on this hotel (something like $100 a night). If it is still around that price, you cannot go wrong here.

We spent 3 nights in this hotel in connection with a friends wedding in the region. The location is perfect, and the building looks rather nice from the outside. However, the moment we entered the lobby it became evident that this would not be a 5-star experience. Check-in took forever, and the lobby looked a bit dated. The room was ok, nothing special. The bathroom was tiny and in need of some repair (leaking faucet etc). Amenities were few and not luxurious, very standard soaps etc. Other issues include
- tv not working well, the staff couldn't make the pay per view work at all.
- very noisy, you could hear neighbours flush the toilets. A lot of our friends also noticed this
- We were denied breakfast by a rude waiter, even though we arrived a few minutes before it closed
- On our last night we were moved due to plumbing issues. No help with this move was offered
- blankets with sheets around them instead of duvets (really dislike that)
- The turkish bath they advertise was just a very small steam sauna located in the gym.

Stayed here for a 3 night break in May.
Very centrally located and the rooms are spacious and clean but found the reception staff to be very unhelpful, I don't know if this was because of a lack of the English language or just plain unhelpful.
They weren't very helpful when it came to suggestions for eating out, things to do etc. So we were kinda just left to wander around ourselves.
The breakfast / dinner is VERY expensive here, and in my opinion not worth it. We stayed in for dinner one night as the weather was terrible and we didn't want to be left walking the streets looking for a restaurant. Small menu, decided to go with the steak, safe enough? Not really, asked for it to be "well done" - it came out practically walking - disgusting! You wouldn't want to be hungry either, portions were TINY!
