This hotel is great for at least two reasons: on site parking and perfect location. To take advantage of the parking, you have to use a call box to enter a taxi only road and drive around the Mezquite to the hotel. Parking was about 12 Euro each night.
You literally walk into the Mezquite when you leave the hotel. In addition, you can walk to the river or just around the old town and never see anything modern. There are lots of restaurants.
The only complaint we had was that our air conditioning didn't work very well. We were very hot both nights and it was very difficult to sleep.
The room was very nice and was big enough to have four single beds. The breakfast each morning was great.

Location is perfect, right in front of the Mezquita walls, and the fact that it had parking under the hotel is a big differential for those who go to Cordoba by car. Room is plain, with no charm, but clean and spacious. Staff does not make much effort to be nice with you. One day, we arrived at brekfast 10 min before the end of the service, and were kicked out by a really rude employee that yelled at us saying that we had no more time. The buffet was still served, there was a lot of people still eating, and she literally made us get up from the chairs we had just sat on and made us leave. Awful. The following day, we saw the same thing happening to a family with 2 little kids - the lady was not even sensible to let the kids eat!

top location, right next to one corner of the mesquita and on the edge of jewish quarter. can be a bit of a tourist trap nearby for food and drink, but there are some wonderful taberna and cafes about 15-20 minutes walk north of the hotel.
with the maze of tiny streets and cobblestones, the hotel can be hard to get to on foot from the train station - give it 20+ minutes if walking, otherwise a cab ride is about 5 euros.
the hotel staff are friendly, helpful, but definitely stressed out and seemingly overworked - big queues at checkout times, even other times of the day. only one staffer at the front desk every time we passed by, and some guests looking irate standing in line...
the room was good, spacious, clean. airconditioning was a bit noisy and hard to turn down. the view across ancient rooftops was good though.
the cafe and restaurant downstairs looked good too.
but try booking through travel websites, as prices seem to jump around a bit - we paid half of what was quoted on one website and the hotel's own service.

I traveled to this hotel in July 2007 with my girlfriend. We had a very good time.no complaints at all.The room was clean and in a good location(across Mezquita). The hotel also is in good location. We only used the room for afternoon naps and night sleeps and the rest of the time we were out.
