First off, it is amazing that this hotel is rated 4-star, because it is at most a 2-star hotel. The location is excellent and cannot be faulted, because once you step out of the hotel, you're well within 2 mins walk of the Arc du Triomphe itself. It is close to two metro stations which are well connected.
The problem is that the hotel is incredibly shabby. The lift was utterly claustrophobic and as we were put on the first floor, we decided not to use it at all. They were in the process of repainting all the hallways while we were there, so there was a distinct smell of paint everywhere, as well as masking tape still messily taped over all the doorways. The carpets have definitely seen better days. And the hotel might be a fire hazard, considering the number of paint cans, broken furniture and other junk stacked along the staircases. Really quite disgraceful for a so-called 4-star hotel!
The room itself was small and nothing at all to shout about. We were given a room with a view into an airwell, and a flatscreen TV that was the only sign that they'd attempted to modernise the room. They did however, provide shower gel, soap etc. in the bathroom, although the shower didn't work too well. Breakfast was also very mediocre, with a limited spread, but at least the pastries were fresh and nice.
All in all, a 2-star experience.

I prepared myself for the state of the hotel, prior to my trip but to tell you the truth i was very surprised. I agree it is in desperate need of a facelift, but you cant beat the location for the price.
Room was clean and tatty.Has code safes and plasma tv (poor wiring)
I had a fantastic view of the Arc from my window
Breakfast consists of coffee, tea, orange juice and croissants/pastrys-anything else you pay extra for including cornflakes!
Internet access is 5euros/hour
Give it a go for the location, just remember its not the ritz

We stayed fro 3 nights while visiting Paris to see Bob Dylan in concert. Had read a bad review so wasn't too hopefull. I believe it is a 2 star rather than 4 star. Room was small but clean. breakfast was very limited . We were told to use a cup for our cornflakes. Could do with a face lift. Overall for the price we payed €309 for double room for 3 nights was very good. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The welcome we got on arrival set the stage for myself and my husband Bill. We were warmly greeted by Mohamed on reception and our cases were quickly delivered to our room by Abdel. We were shown where to visit and how best to get around the city and anything else we needed was there for the asking. The hotel we would say is very characterful, rustic, serves wonderful coffee and croisants and could not be more central. We would not hesitate to return.
