lovely hotel, recently refurbished. Real feel of Old Paris. would stay there anytime. V near Gare du Nord. No frills, but excellent value for price. SNOBS - pay 5* prices!!

Rooms were very very small and smelly. Could not tolerate the smell, Blankets, bed sheets and pillow covers were smelly, This hotel cannot be rated as 3 star. It does not come anywhere close to 3* hotel. There are other hotels which are small but better maintained and much more clean. I saw a few of the guests walk away immediatly after looking at the hotel rooms. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Don't stay here. My brother was booked in here by his company. His initial impression was that it was tatty and he was disappointed. And being near two of the main city stations it is in a down at heel area. However, things got much worse. His wallet was taken from his suitcase (between taking an evening walk and looking for it the next morning). The receptionist/manager's wife (he's not sure) got very angry that he was upset with the hotel. He spent several hours at the police station, part of which was telling the police he was not accusing the woman of stealing it. Very unsatisfactory. This place obviously has a strange attitude to people they assume are one-night standers who will never return. They make sure of that.

My friend and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The room was small, dirty and poorly decorated. The noise is unbelievable - we did not sleep a wink the whole time we were there! On arrival to the hotel the guy at the desk (manager I think) told us that we could pay at the end of our stay. As we were checking out the lady at the desk gave us a bill which was 70 euro higher than what we were supposed to pay - I gave her the internet print out that I had and told her that the bill she gave us was not correct. She then started speaking in french saying she didn't understand us and something about 'guarantee' which my friend and I took to mean that the price was not guaranteed. We paid the higher price to get out of there and get home. We thought this was a brilliant deal on the internet but were proved wrong - Please do not stay here, it will only ruin your trip to Paris which is a beautiful city.

Stayed here for 5 nights. The rooms were small but thats the same all over Paris. The rooms were clean and the bathroom looked recently refurbished. There are two metro stations within two minutes of the hotel. Also there is a large train station, Gard du Nord, just down the road which will get you to anywhere. Plenty of restaurants and cafes surrounding the hotel. Would consider this hotel again.
