This was a nice hotel for the price. It is centrally located near the Plaza. It's simple but I wouldn't say it's 4 stars, as it's not polished. The photos on the website were not so accurate...but the room was still nice, just not as nice as the photo. I would stay again, as it was clean and nice.

I have stayed here twice and it is the best value for money hotel i can find bang in the centre of Barcelona ! My husband, myself and 7 mth old daughter stayed at the HUSA Barcelona from Sept 16 to Sept 20, 2007 in room 511. We were lucky enough to get a room with a balconey, as not many of them have one. We spent the majority of our evenings sitting out on it watching the people down below. I think all the rooms ending in an -11 or -12 have balconies, which I highly recommend. The room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet was a delicious continental spread and the dining hall was well taken care of by the attendant. The location was outstanding, near the top of the La Rambla...we walked from the hotel to the Sagrada Familia, Torre Agbar and to Port Vell. Pretty much all of the sites are within walking distance of the hotel. The staff was friendly enough, but there was, at times, a breakdown in the language barrier; their English not being all that great and my Spanish not existing at all. Despite this small problem they were very helpful and answered our questions to the best of their ability. I only found a few things disappointing regarding the hotel and that was: the size of the lobby compared to the picture on the internet, no handicap ramps for our stroller and the lack of a bar even though there was a sign saying that the bar was on the first floor. I posted a picture of what I think they may consider a bar (vending machine with beer in it). ;-) Regardless of these small flaws we loved the Barcelona, will recommend it to friends and will definitely stay there again.

Hotel très bien situé dans une rue relativement tranquille juste au dessus de la Pl. Catalonya. Tous les transports publics et touristiques à quelques pas de là, en plein centre de la zone de shopping. Mini réception et un premier étage (salle petit déjeuner assez feutrée). Les chambres sont correctes même si les finitions des sols et salles de bains sont très moyennes, les lits sont très durs. Ceci est compensé par des réceptionistes très serviables et sympathiques. Ils ont même tenu compte de notre demande concernant la proximité des chambres lors de la réservation internet, toutes nos questions ont trouvé réponse. Les chambres sont bien insonorisées, ce qui est un luxe en Espagne. Husa pourrait modifier les flacons de shampoing et de gel douche, très difficiles à ouvrir ainsi qu'à presser. Le petit déjeuner est simple mais très diversifié, le buffet est très propre et offre un choix qui devrait satisfaire tout les monde, sauf pour le café. Le ptit dèj a été offert aux enfants ! Nous pouvons recommander cet hôtel pour ceux qui souhaitent partir pour quelques jours à la découverte de Barcelone et qui ne passeront de toute façon que peu d'heures dans les chambres.

The hotel is a simple 4 star (actually 3 stars in my opinion) located smack in the middle of the Plaza Catalunya, Barcelona's tourism center. 5 Minutes walking from Las Ramblas, 10 minutes from the Barri Gotic (old city), 20 minutes from the Segrada Familia Cathedral. Subway station is nearby, maybe 3 minutes walking. Bus to the airport is also nearby about 2 minutes walking. The hotel is simple, with a small lobby. Rooms are large and adequate and face the street which can be very noisy at night. Air condition, TV and other amenities work fine, but the room still seems very simple. The staff are extremely friendly and take their time explaining everything in detail.
