Pasamos una noche. La ubicacion es inmejorable, al ladito justo de la catedral. El servicio muy amable, nos ayudaron con la reserva d e un hotel al dia siguiente. la habitacion justita justita, eso si el baño enorme, y bien arreglado. Solo dormimos. el parking lo tienen fuera de l hotel...a 2 mintuos andando.

Die angepriesene Lage direkt an der Kathedrale stimmt schon, sie hat aber ihre negativen Seiten. Im zuerst zugewiesenen Zimmer im 1.Stock machten wir sofort kehrt - es roch optimal schlecht. Im 2.Stock war dann die Luft rein und die Kathedrale zum Greifen. Der optischen Nähe entsprachen aber kurze akustische Wege : am Nachmittag des Ankunftstages und am nächsten frühen Morgen schon wogten die Schallwellen von Baulärm trotz geschlossener Vorhänge und Jalousie ins Zimmer. An Kathedralen gibt es ja immer etwas zum Richten; das kann Jahrzehnte dauern. An der Rezeption nur Unschuldslämmer - nicht das geringste Verständnis oder Entgegenkommen. Das Restaurant ist im Keller und zeichnet sich durch unverwechselbaren ungelüfteten Kellermief aus - das Haus liegt ja zentral und zu Alternativen ist es nicht weit.

Staying in this hotel was to be a treat but it was a disappointment. Although the location is wonderful the hotel a bit down-at -heel . There are huge pubic rooms, suits of armour etc but also frayed carpets. The room we were given was large but chipped and worn. More importantly, the toilet cistern was broken. We went back to reception and maintenance people came promptly. This repair done, we discovered that the lock on the room door was not working properly and again maintenance people came. It was only at this point we were offered another room which was smaller but an improvement. On the whole the staff were helpful The hotel bar was a bit of a mystery. There were no opening times displayed it was open the afternoon we arrived but was closed by 11pm and not open the next day. It has the building and the location it would be a fine place to stay if if there was some renovation work carried out .

Ursprünglich für drei Nächte gebucht, sind wir nach einer Übernachtung wieder ausgezogen. Ausgewiesen als **** , erweist sich das Hotel als höchstens für ** geeignet. Der Service ist unzureichend, das angeblich englischsprechende Personal tauchte nicht auf. Der Empfang war unfreundlich, ein angeblich hoteleigener Parkplatz stand nicht zur Verfügung. Im Zimmer waren die Sitzmöbel durchgesessen, die Polster zerschlissen. Der Thermostat der Klimaanlage hing lose aus der Wand, die Tapete war unübersehbar erneuerungsbedürftig. Im Bad gab es keinen Stecker (für Rasierapparat etc.).

Un hotel muy necesitado de remoledacion y de personal, por lo menos el que me atendio a mi en recepcion; nada mas subir por el ascensor empecé a comprobar donde me estaba metiendo, eso pasillos de moqueta vieja, avitaciones y paredes envejecidas, algunos desperfectos en el baño, como el wc enegrecido o trozos de marmol roto, la olor tambien era marca de la casa. un dia antes de alojarme hice mi reserva y se les ocurre decirme que el aire acondicionado llevaba dias averiado cuando ya estaba en el hotel. un 8 de septiembre que hacia calor pa rabiar, luego tampoco podias habrir las ventanas porque teniamos montado debajo una feria mediaval, preciosa por cierto. total que no se lo recomiendo a nadie y no pienso volver por ese hotel.
