I booked this for one night for us and our 3 boys. It seemed like a good price and close to the airport. The room was filthy and smelled terrible. The bathrooms were disgusting. Probably the worst place I have ever stayed. I usually try not to be picky especially when I've booked for cost and convinience...but this was just awful... We couldn't sleep because everything was so dirty and smelly and the staff at the check in are unfriendly. I would never go back here or recommend that anyone else does....Unless you have extremely low standards!

The hotel was painted recently. The beds are new. I found the beds to be very comfortable. The carpet was new in the room that we were in. The air conditioner was new but it didn't stay on if you wanted it too. It was controlled by digital readout. It would not go below 60 and I know it was not that cold in that room. There was some mold in the bathroom ceiling and some in the bathroom but it was not too bad. The bathroom floor was new. The room was long but the bathroom was very small. The refrige worked great. It was able to freeze the water bottles. The tv was on cable and had plenty of channels to watch. I did see one bug that was pretty large on the last night we stayed. They put a new shared computer in the front desk office so people staying there could use it. Overall it was ok.

We stayed here one night before an early morning flight out of the Charlotte airport, but found it very depressing. The bathroom ceiling was peeling and mouldy, and the place was generally very run-down. Wouldn't stay here again.

When I read, “Felt like I was walking in a trailer,” I understood the writer to mean the room was small. Having just made a reservation at this place, I was confused because I had intended to make a reservation at the same motel where I had stayed overnight a year earlier between flights.
As I later learned, it was one and the same place. But I would never have known it from his description.
If the floor creaks, it’s because you’re walking on a wooden floor under that carpeting instead of hard concrete. These rooms are accessible only from outside covered walkways and when it rains, I guess you hear the rain. The buildings are of good, expensive construction and well maintained.
The neighborhood is not the best and this is usually true about neighborhoods near large airports. But you should not have any trouble walking to the nearby restaurants.
The room itself, I will guess, is larger than most in which you have stayed. It has two queen-sized beds with nightstands and lights next to each, a love seat sized sofa, table and chairs, a 7 foot long low-boy bureau with many drawers and designed so you can place and open your suitcases on top.
The room has a mini-fridge, a microwave, an ironing board and iron, a hairdryer, and color TV.
The room is so large that with all these furnishings, it is not crowded.
And yes, it does appear to be a family-run business.
If you’re taking their free shuttle van to the airport (about 8 minutes away), check their departure times and say which one you will be on. It normally leaves every half-hour in the morning.

If you're looking for a cheap place to stay, come here. There are restaurants nearby. Just be warned: There are some type of storm drains in front of the doors, so when you walk around in your room, the floor creaks like crazy, even though it's a single-story building. You can hear the creaking from the adjoining room when those guests walk around too. There seem to be mostly construction workers living there, rather than travelers. It's not in a good area, so there isn't anywhere to go out for a walk. I only chose it because it was near the airport and it had a mini-fridge and microwave for my groceries. The innkeepers are friendly enough, but their families live there, so the children are always out playing in the parking lot since they have no place else to go.
