The room and service of Legend Hotel is typical of high rating Asian hotels. It's the little things that make it memorable. Since it was my first trip to Ho Chi Minh, I availed of the free shuttle service of the hotel. They had scheduled stops in the major sites of the city. When the shuttle was not operational, the concierge hailed a cab to take us to the Cathedral (one of the sites) and paid for the fare.
When I got my bearing of the city, I discovered it was much faster to walk to the city center than to take the shuttle or taxi. The traffic was heavy during our stay because of road widening.

enjoyed my stay, paid $US180 per night. The only thing I would point the finger at is the breakfast, the cooked options are a little limitedand not as nice as hotels of similar standard.

We stayed in a suite on one of the top floors - it was magnificent, excellent attention to detail, the staff were friendly, position good, and not one bad thing to say about our time there - in fact, it was hard to leave and we probably did not do as much sight seeing as we should have as it was so tempting to go back to the hotel after a city exploration and just relax.
Well done to the Legend.

Business associate booked this hotel as he has volume discount rate, but still a bit pricey (It seems all the better Ho Chi Minh hotel prices have climbed rapidly in the last couple of years.) Rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. The executive lounge is pleasant with good view of river. Breakfast buffet was included with very good selection. Staff''s English can be limited but not usually a problem. Nice gym and pool, fantastic massage! Free internet access in rooms and lobby (although it was down for several hours one morning). Hotel is convenient to some excellent restaurants. Convenient to most locations, but traffic is crazy everywhere here!

It's a nice busisness hotel, clean and rooms with adequate space. Dinner buffet was ok, nothing special. We had a little problem with checking out. We booked with www.wotif.com, and when we checked in, nobody asked for voucher. When we checked out, they started asking and held us up for a while, very inconvenient. Other than that, the location is good, large lobby, I am surprised that this hotel is only 3 star. It sure looks like a 4 star, or even in the same range with some hotels claimed that they are 5 stars.
