The location is excellent. The rooms are charming and the service is very good.

I feel that I need to report the truth for those who are or probably will be misguided by the previous looking-good reviews. From the many European hotels I have ever stayed, Hotel Rex gave me the worst experience. I would advise those who are looking for a good vacation in Napoli (Naples) to avoid this hotel. Yes, the hotel's location is not bad (which is why I choose this hotel because I compare the price and location), but there are some strange people on the street checking your cars. I decided to leave my rented car in the garage, which cost me 25 euros a night, like rubbery. Once you get into the hotel, you are encountered with a not-so-enthusiastic person talking to you, even a cold person I shall say. There are some decoration on the wall and in the room, looking cheap and not decorated well. The hotel room is not clean, especially the outdated toilet/shower-room. I can bear with the above, compared with the price I pay, but what bothers me is the noise I heard when I stayed in the hotel. The windows cannot prevent the car noise on the main street 100m from the hotel. The walls and doors are neither sound proof. We felt that someone was knocking on our door several times, and then found out it's others' doors. I can barely sleep during the night. The breakfast is served to the room, as the hotel does not have a restaurant. You can choose from limited options of bread and drinks, and the yugart is not good. The hotel made a mistake by sending breakfast earlier by 1 hour than what we chose in the paper we are required to provide to the reception one night before. I don't if that's the case, what the paper was for. To sum up, the hotel has an OK location, bad facilities, and terrible service quality. I would consider this hotel only if I were a backpacker (although I doubt if the price is reasonable for a backpacker). If you are a couple, definitely avoid this hotel unless you want to hear the complaint all day from your partner.

Nice place to stay and in the vicinity of the Amalfi Coast, Island of Capri, and Pompeii. Nice clean accomodations and helpful staff.

Contrary to what we were told by a number of people we found Naples to be a great and exciting place for a winter break - everybody helpfull including the taxi drivers! The recent events regarding the lack of rubbish collection was not detrimental to our stay in any way. The Hotel Rex was very clean and the service was impeccable. All the staff that we met were both friendly and helpfull. The location of this hotel was ideal as a base for our daily excursions around Naples and beyond. We would not hesitate to use this hotel for any future visits. There were four of us on this our first visit to Naples and the above comments are given on behalf of us all.
