This hotel goes by the name of Blue Bay Hotel.........even though it is poorly run; the staff is super super nice.........makes it hard to complain about just how terrible this place is. It is old, in great disrepair- it is a dirty nasty hangout for local kids. The whole place looks like something out of a teen horror movie. The housekeeping was horrible, nothing was clean, not even the sheets. The furniture was falling apart, the bathroom was so dirty that we had to go out and buy cleaning supplies and clean the bathroom ourselves before we could use it. This place needs to be torn down as it is a insult to Myrtle Beach.

I was very disappointed in the customer service with this hotel. I do not feel the customer's needs were placed above making a profit for the hotel. I recommend you spend your money elsewhere.

We almost booked here for our recent trip because we heard that everything was completely redone and rennovated. To make a long story short, I'm glad we didn't do it. We took a tour while we were down there and it failed to impress. They just did some cosmetic makeovers. It's still not much different than it used to be. If you're expecting something like the new hotels that are being built forget it. To each his own and all that but this place was not for us.

When I booked the hotel I reqested a handicap room. When we got there none was available. The room was extremly small. The stove was filthy and so was the rooms. The hotel needs alot of updating and renovations. I believe they falsly advertised. Everything just seem old! They make it appear as if the hotel rooms are huge. I paid 159 a night, it was not worth it, I could have stayed in 3 star hotel for that price.
After 11pm they lock the doors. You have to ring the bell to get in and show your key, if the just had the proper security system where you can swipe your key you would not have to do this.
The wash clothes and towel were old and shabby and extremely rough on the skin. The chairs were old and shabby looking, they had holes or something in them. The hotel carpets in the lobby were filthy. It was literally black!
The prices for the rooms were over priced, and the description is incorrect.
The people at the front desk was nice. the location was good to. The beach was across the street.

The Beach Front Hotel was exactly as expected. Central location. Near pier 14. Desk and store staff friendly and helpful. Room was fully functional. Dated accomodation in need of refurbishment. The price was right for a popular week.
Sitting in front of the Hotel was an experience watching the bikes go by. Across the street is a popular beach bar. I observed local police arresting people for minimal reason and a cooperative suspect being thrown into a paddy wagon for no reason. This town clearly does not want visitors. I shall never return.
The on site parking is minimal, but they accomodated our bike.
